5-units mixed fire fighting truck 6×4

Our requirement is for a mixed fire fighting vehicle ( water – foam –

powder ) provided with a monitor – capacity of the water tank 8000L –
capacity of the foam tank 1000L – capacity of the powder tank 500kg .

1. Technical Specifications of the vehicle

- Axles 6×4- G.V.W not to be less than 30 Ton .
- Dimensions : preferably the shortest size-width not to exceed
2.5m – height along with the monitor should not exceed 3.5m.

2. Engine & Transmission

- Engine: diesel – four stroke – power not less than 300 HP
specifications not less than Euro 2 (emission level ) the engine
should be provided with cooling circuit designed for the tropical
areas , and with a gauge to measure
engine working hours ( engine hour meter ).
- Power LHD steering
- Differential lock on the rear axle with a stabilizer bar .
- Brakes : dual air circuit – engine brake – the circuit of the manual
brake is provided with self brake operating in case of lack of air .
- Metallic fuel tank capacity not to be less than 200L .
- Mechanical gearbox.
- Preferably rim trilex – tires size 1100 or 1200 .
- Spare wheel with carrier .

3. The Cab
- Front dual control cab – tillable – provided with 4 doors –
capacity at least 5 crewmen + the driver.
- Preferably the outer body of the cab not to be made of fiber glass .
- It should be equipped with heating system by hot air ,and with
ventilation system .
- Safety belts for the crewmen .
- Preferably there should be places to deposit the approaching and
the breaking fire suits inside the cab for / 5 / crewmen .
- Painting : red color .

4. Pump Specifications
- Centrifugal pump – anti rust body resistant to salty water – its axle
is made of stainless steel .
- It is driven by P.T.O from the gearbox .
- Pump flow at least 3000L/min for 10 kg/cm2 pressure , offered
has to indicate engine R.P.M at this pressure , and to provide us
with pump performance curve .
- Pump working pressure should not be less than 30 kg /cm2 .
- The pump should be provided with primary pump , preferably the
piston type .
- Lifting power of the suction pump should not be less than 7m.
- It should be provided with .
a – a suction hole which has a strainer to prevent stones and
strange bodies from entering into the pump .
b _ at least /2/ Discharge holes size 2 inch with " John Morris "
coupling .
c _ /2/ Discharge holes size 1 inch for the high pressure hose reels .
- Control panel (pressure- vacuum- engine temperature- engine oil
pressure ect ……. )
- Foam mixer device with all necessary valves and discharge holes ,
foam mixture may be controlled between 3% and 6% .
- / 2 / Hose reels on both sides of the vehicle along with a hose
25 mm × 40 m with ejector (gun) giving straight water stream,
fog
stream and hydro shield- the ejector will be used as for foam .

5. Water Tank
- Capacity not to be less than 8000 L . water – the tank is made of
stainless steel .
- Base thickness not to be less than 4 mm.
walls thickness not to be less than 3 mm .
- The tank is divided from the inner side by partitions to calm down
movement .
- A hole for control and cleaning purpose (manhole ) dim 50 cm at
least - /2/ filling holes with " John Mooris " coupling 2.5 inch on
the side of the vehicle with a check valve - / 1 / filling hole on the
upper side of vehicle - / 1 / discharge hole with a valve .
- Electric indicator to show water level in tank – overflow valve .
- The tank may be filled from the pump during suction process .
6. Foam Tank
- Capacity not to be less than 1000 L . the tank is made of stainless
steel .
- Base thickness not to be less than 4 min .
walls thickness not to be less than 3 min .
- The tank is provided with a pressure adjusting valve to discharge
pressure arising from the formed foam – electric indicator to show
foam level in the tank .
- Discharge opening with a valve .
- The tank is connected directly to the mixing device joined to
pump. These installations should be provided with circuits for
washing after usage .

7. Dry Powder Unit

- Capacity not to be less than 500 kg foursome powder ABCD –
powder should be delivered within refills separated from the
vehicle .
- It is made of steel painted with materials to prevent corrosion .
- Thank working pressure / 12- 14 / kg/cm2 .
- It is provided with a reel along with a hose 25 mm ×50m or more
– device to clean the hoses from the remaining powder .
- At least / 2 / Nitrogen gas cylinders , working pressure 200
kg/cm2 at least .
- Necessary control & operating panel .
- Offered has to mention quantity of ejected powder per minute
besides , he has to indicate the availability of powder crumbling
device .

8. The Monitor
- It is provided with one barrel controlled from the upper side
manually.
- Throw range : water stream 60 m at least – Fog stream 30m at
least – foam 50m at least.
- Discharge not to be less than 2000 L/min at 14kg/cm2.
- Rotary angle not to be less than 270 in both horizontal directions
and the monitor may be moved vertically .
- Offered has to indicate operation method and movement range .

9.Control Devices & Electric Equipment :

- 2 rotary red lights .
- PAS- light alarm – electronic siren .
- A torch located on the vehicle base and it can be connected to a
cable (length 60m at least ) on a portable reel with a tripod to
enable usage of torch from different locations when fighting the
fire .
- The necessary lighting for the cab , engine room , all the tool
boxes and the control panels .

Special Terms

- Chassis of the tanks and boxes should be separated the chassis of

the vehicle .
- All the hoses joints either male or female should be of type " John
Morris " suction hoses should be of screw type ( 3 pitches per
inch) lined by steel wires
- A technical committee designated by the Buyer will check in the
factory premises the conformity of a prototype to the contracted
upon specifications .
- Tool boxes should be made of anti rust metal of good
specifications , manufacturer has to indicate specifications of the
offered boxes they should include suitable shelves , racks and
partitions in order to fix all the portable equipment and fittings on
the vehicle .
- The doors of the tool boxes should be made of light metal
(aluminum ) shutter rolls
 - the locks should be easy opened and closed , and locks
of each vehicle should be identical.
- The roof of the vehicle and the ascending steps should be made of
anti rust checkered plate to prevent sliding .
- A ladder to ascend to the roof of the vehicle .

breaking devices.

1. Compressed air cylinder set with back structure and

necessary belts for the shoulders and waist .
