1. Introduction

1.1. Document Purpose

The goal of this document is to define and document the specific actions required to test
the EIABC Netapp Implementation and declare it ready for use. This Acceptance testing
procedure (ATP) will demonstrate that the Implementation has been correctly
configured and will operate in such a way that EIABC will accept it as a working system.

1.2. Intended Audience

For security and intellectual reasons, this document is prepared for review only by
members of the technical and management teams of Ethiopian Institute of Architecture,
Building Construction and City and IE Network solutions PLC. Any other party should
get formal permissions from both EIABC and IE before viewing the contents of this
document.

2. Testing Scope and Attendee

2.1. Scope
The scope of this ATP test is to confirm the Implementation is done based on the
requirement.

3. Netapp controller and disk shelves cabling test

Tests for successful mounting and cabling of all the disk shelves

Description with Netapp controller on both DR and Main Data Center.

Scenario needed to perform test

Check all the disk shelves and controller is cabled as per the Netapp cabling rule.

5. Netapp disk deployment test

Test Code Assign disk to the cluster, and assign LUN to the host

Test for successful disk assignment to volume & assign LUN to the

Description servers.

Scenario needed to perform test

Check all the host datastore access the storage

Test Procedure
1. Open putty or OnCommand System Manager and login using privileged
Account
2. Verify that the volume assigned with new disk shelves and the LUN mapped to
the host
3. Open the ESXi and login using privileged Account
4. Create new VMFS datastore from unallocated Netapp fiber channel disk
5. Analysis the result.

6. Netapp Data Replication deployment test

Test Code Configure Netapp replication on both site and verify replication status
Test to ensure the successful setup of the NetApp data replication
feature and verify that data replication occurs between the source

Description and destination storage systems without any errors or
inconsistencies.
Scenario needed to perform test

Check all the Volumes on the HQ site are protected and replicated to DR storage
cluster systems without errors or inconsistencies.

Test Procedure
1. Log in to HQ System Manager and Expand Storage
2. Click on the volume tab and check all volumes are protected by snapmirror
3. Login to System Manager of the DR site and click to Protection tab and click.
Relation tab
4. Check all volumes relationships are healthy.
5. Click on storage tab and volume tab check all HQ volumes are replicated and
status Online.
