6 SHAPING THE MUZZLE
To make a crest, you can crochet a chain
of stitches, twist it with a spiral and sew
along the entire upper bend of the head,

...or cast on a chain along the upper

fold of the head from the nose
to the end of the head and make
the crest as follows:
Take a new thread. Starting from
the nose, from the first loop of
the chain along the top of the head,
make a chain of 3 loops. Then make
a slip stitch into the next stitch of the
head, again make a chain of 3 loops
and slip stitch into the next stitch of
the head, ect. You can a little wrap it
inside the head at the end.

Mark the positio

sition of the eye and glue it.

To decorate the eyelid, make a chain equal

to the diameter of the eye.

Sew it with thread of matching color around the eye.

I sew sideways, i.e. pigtail to the eye.

Embroider the mouth with the black thread.

Start from the eye and move to the nose.

You can optionally decorate the outer side of

the line of the mouth. Here is sewn a piece of yarn.

If you make a chameleon-brooch, the muzzle can

be decorated only on one side. If this is a toy, you need
to decorate the second side of the muzzle by analogy.

7 PAWS AND TAIL
For paws and tail it is better to take a thinner
thread. Rewind a piece of 2.5 meters long and
pull out one or more threads to reduce the
thickness of the main thread by about a third.

FRONT PAWS: HIND PAWS:

sides of the loop on a hook and crochet), 3 dc In the 11th row, you need to make a triple increase again

Finish with a slip stitch and leave the tail

of the thread around 20 cm.

8 PAWS
Insert the wire inside the paws. Leave 1 cm end of wire
at the MR side.

On the other side, cover the wire with glue or transparent

nail polish and wrap tightly with the remaining thread,
leaving a not covered end of wire 5 mm length.

Fold wrapped wire to form small fingers,

and then hide not covered wire end inside the paw.

That’s what we should

get. Take a niddle and
with a pair of stitches
sew the fold of wire
between the fingers
to the paw.

READY PAWS Repeat for all remaining paws.

TAIL

Bend a loop at the end of a piece of wire, cut it

according to the length of the tail + 1 cm spare,
insert the wire into the tail loop first.

So that the wire does not pop out, you can fix its
position at the tip of the tail, sewing it several times
with a thread of the colour of the yarn.

9 JOINING PARTS
Fold the body in half, mark the position
of the front and hind paws, as in the photo.
Insert the paw wire into the body.
Fold wire end inside.

Sew the paws.

Sew the tail in the bottom to the very edge

of the body.

If your chameleon is a brooch, sew a brooch

tray.

Next, fold the halves of the body

and crochet them together, starting from the
front of the body to the middle of the back.

Put on the head, sew it, moving from the bottom

of the head to the top on each side. From above
there will be a small piece of the head, which we
do not sew.

Stuff the body, not very tight, and join the halves
of the body to the end.

10 FINISHING

For the crest it is better to take

a thinner thread, as for paws.
A piece 2 meters long will be enough.

Make it the same way as a crest on

the head, chain of 3 loops - a slip
stitch into the next stitch of the back,
etc.

The chameleon is ready.

I hope you succeeded!
