A copied image has white streaks or color streaks in the horizontal direction.
Clean the main charger, LED print head and slit glass. For details, see the reference below:
Troubleshooting - TROUBLESHOOTING FOR THE HARDWARE - Cleaning the Inside of the Equipment
The area around a black solid image on the back side is slightly stained when duplex
copying using the bypass tray is performed.
A misalignment occurred in the output of the back side due to dry sheet trouble as a result of low humidity. For thick
paper, copy the back side by selecting “(BACK)” for the paper type. For plain paper, make 2-sided copies using the
automatic duplexing unit. For details, see the reference below:
Copy - HOW TO MAKE COPIES - Specifying the Paper Type
A color original is copied in black-and-white even if [Auto Color] is selected for the color

Printing cannot be performed since the document password for a Private Print job has
been forgotten.
The document password for a Private Print job is never shown, once the job has been sent to the equipment. To print
the failed Private Print job, submit the document again as a new Private Print job.
The failed Private Print job remains unprinted in the job queue. To delete it, either way below is required. Ask your
administrator.
Enter the administrator’s password in the Private Print job list on the touch panel and delete the job.
Log in to TopAccess with the administrator’s password and delete the job from the Print Job list.
Print jobs are not outputted even when printing is performed by entering the
department code on the macOS.
The entered department code may not be correct. Confirm your department code.
If the department code is not correct, print jobs are processed according to the settings ([Department Setting] -
[Invalid Department Code Print Job] from TopAccess). For details, see the reference below:
TopAccess - [Administration] - [Security] Item List - Authentication settings - Setting up Department Setting
The [Device Settings] tab is grayed out and their settings cannot be changed.
When this has occurred, it is necessary to have a user, who has the privilege to change the printer driver setting, log
into the computer. Log into with Administrator.
Printing with USB print has failed. Text cannot be printed properly.
If the size of the print data is too large, the communication between the equipment and the computer will take some
time. Due to this, printing will fail or text sometimes cannot be printed properly.
Directly connect the equipment and the computer with a USB2.0 Hi-Speed certified cable.
Display the printer property from [Devices and printers]. On the [Advanced] tab, select [Spool print documents so
program finishes printing faster] > [Start printing after last page is spooled] and press [OK]. Then reattempt printing.
If the problem still persists, this can be solved by changing the settings of the equipment. For details, contact your
service representative.
Show-through occurs.

adjustment function. For details, see the reference below:
Scan - USEFUL FUNCTIONS - Changing Scan Settings - Adjusting the background density
Moreover, when settings have been made from TopAccess, it is also possible to forward to a shared folder in the
equipment, an e-Filing box, or an e-mail address other than a fax number or an internet fax number. For details, see

side.
When this has occurred, check the direction of the original.
When the original is placed on the original glass, specify the original size.
Fax jobs are not sent even if operations are carried out normally.
When this has occurred, check that the recipient’s machine is compatible with yours. The equipment does not support
G2 machines.
Fax jobs cannot be received even if “Receive” is displayed and the [START] button is
pressed.
When this has occurred, check the following items.
Did you replace the handset before you pressed the [START] button? When you answer a call on the handset to
receive a fax, do not replace the handset until you press the [START] button.
Is the power plug unplugged from the outlet?
Is there any problem at the sender’s side? Contact the sender to check this.
Received jobs are printed in dark and illegible or black lines are printed.
Check the following items.
Is the suitable value set for the print density? Make a copy and check the print conditions.
Is the original being sent as a dirty copy? Contact the sender to check this.
Is there any abnormality in the sender’s machine? Alternatively, is the operation performed correctly? Contact the
sender to check this.

The documents in the Box are currently being used by another user.
Wait for a while and try it again.
“Devices are not discovered in your network.” is displayed while installing the printer
driver.
Click [Retry] to search the equipment over the network again.
Confirm that the SNMP settings specified in the [SNMP Settings] dialog box are correct.
Click [Continue] to select a temporary local port and then configure the Raw TCP/LPR port. After the printer driver has
been installed, configure the Raw TCP/LPR port.
The result of the fax job is not listed in the Send field of the [Log] tab.
From [Job Status] on the touch panel of the equipment, select [Fax] and search for the job with “Invalid” indicated in
the Status field. If there is the job, select it and press [Send] to resend it.
Printing can be made even with an incorrect user name and password.
Install the client software with the latest version.
If the client software version is earlier than the system one in the equipment, printing may be performed even when
an incorrect user name and password are entered.
The touch panel has locked or a network shutdown has occurred after the LDAP search
has been performed.
