GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO ALL THE INVIGILATORS New Delhi

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO ALL THE INVIGILATORS REGARDING CTET EXAMINATION 2024-25
1. The invigilator will ensure that the candidate is not carrying any other item except the following Items
inside the examination centre:
· DOWNLOADED ADMIT CARD
· ONE PHOTO ID PROOF (PAN CARD, AADHAAR CARD, PASSPORT, DRIVING LICENCE, VOTER ID CARD)
· BLUE/BLACK BALL POINT PEN· RANSPARENT WATER BOTTLE· SANITIZER OF 50ml.
2 They should check the identity of candidates under their charge by checking their downloaded admit cards
and tallying their signatures and the photograph placed on the Attendance Sheet with the signature and
the photograph on their Admit Cards.
3 Invigilators should receive the sealed Test Booklets from the Centre Superintendent duly placed in the safe
envelope. Invigilators must ensure that the Test Booklets are distributed 15 minutes before the
commencement of examination for each paper.
4 The test booklets should be distributed Roll No wise and placed against each Roll No. Whether the
candidate is present or not.
5 Taking signature of the candidate on OMR sheet (The candidate will be signing the Attendance sheet
twice, first, at the time of the receipt of test booklet and second, at the time of handing over the OMR
sheet to the Invigilator) and will check that the Mother’s name written by the candidate on the
Attendance Sheet is the same as mentioned in the List of Candidates. In case of doubt the matter should
be reported to Centre Superintendent to prevent impersonation.
6 The invigilator shall ensure that every OMR sheet has been countersigned by them with red pen.
7 They will take round of the seats in the Examination Hall/room assigned to them immediately after the
commencement of the examination.
8 To check the Serial No. /Booklet Code of Test Booklet and OMR Sheet which should be same. In case of
any discrepancy, candidate should immediately report the matter to the Invigilator for replacement of
both the Test Booklet and the OMR Sheet.
9 Carefully fill the particulars in the OMR Sheet as per their Test Booklet and Admit Card.
10 Required to sign twice in the Attendance sheet first at the time of receipt of Test Booklet and second at
the time of handing over the OMR Sheet (before leaving the examination room).
11 Put left hand thumb impression in the space provided in the Attendance Sheet for each paper.

16 The Invigilators must obtain the signature of the candidate in running hand on the side–2 of the OMR
Sheet at the time of obtaining signature on the attendance sheet. The OMR sheet should be countersigned
by the Invigilators also.
17 The Invigilators must check that the candidate has written the following particulars correctly on the
Attendance Sheet with Black/Blue Ball Point pen only:-
1. Test Booklet Number 4. Left Hand Thumb Impression
2. Test Booklet Code 5. Mother’s Name*
3. OMR Sheet Number 6. Candidate’s Signature**
18 *Mother’s name must be tallied with the List of Candidate. Any doubt in this regard must be Reported to
the office.
19 To prepare the Absentee Statement and submit the same along with unused Test Booklets immediately
after commencement of the examination for each paper.
20 Invigilators are under the control of the Centre Superintendent during the period they are on examination
duty. They should not leave the examination centre without the permission of the Centre Superintendent.
21 Test Booklet should be given to the candidates with strict instructions that they should not open it until
they are told to do so by the Invigilator. THE DOOR OF CLASS ROOM SHOULD BE CLOSED BEFORE
HANDING OVER TEST BOOKLET TO AVOID RUNAWAY CASES.
22 After taking attendance for each Paper, Invigilator will also write the Roll Number(s) of absentee(s) in the
Attendance Sheet. In the Seating Plan for each room(s) for each Paper, the Roll No. of a candidate who is
absent be encircled with red ink indicating absent.
23 During the examination no candidate is allowed to leave examination room
24 LIST OF ITEMS ALLOWED INSIDE THE EXAMINATION CENTRE:
1. Downloaded admit card 2. One photo identity proof (Pan Card, Aadhar card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID
card) 3. Blue/Black Ballpoint Pen 4.Transparent Water Bottle 5. Sanitizer 50 ml.
6. The candidates suffering from Diabetes are permitted to carry any of the following eatables with them while coming to
exam centre: 1) Sugar tablets/chocolate/Candy 2) Fruits like Banana/Apple/Orange 3)Snack items like Sandwich However,
the following modalities have to be observed:
a) These candidates shall have to submit a certificate from diabetic Specialist along
with full diabetic history, nature of their diabetes and the need for snacks during the examination.
b) The food items shall be kept with the Invigilators at the examination centre concerned, who on their need,
shall hand over the eatables to these candidates.
25. LIST OF BARRED ITEMS NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE EXAMINATION CENTRE:
Books, notes, bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, pencil, scale, log table, writing pad, eraser, cardboard,
electronics devices, watch/wrist watch, wallet, Gold ornaments, goggles, handbags, mobile phones, earphone, microphones,
cameras, headphones, pen-drives, pager, Bluetooth devices, calculator, debit/credit card, electronic pen/scanners, food &
beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and other items which could be used for unfair means.
