SEAFARER DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

Northern Marine Management is committed to a zero tolerance approach to any non-compliance


with the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL). In particular,
Northern Marine is committed to strict adherence to International Maritime Organization (IMO)
requirements concerning the correct and proper use of Oily Water Separators (OWS), Oil Content
Discharge Equipment (ODME), the monitoring of discharges into the sea and prevention of pollution
by Garbage and Sewage.

I, ……………………………………………………………………………………. hereby declare that I will not knowingly
participate in any illegal or questionable breaches of MARPOL in ports and/or at sea and further I will
not permit any environmental violation, including, but not limited to, a violation of local, state, federal
or international law, to take place onboard, or if discovered to continue. I will immediately report
any illegal or potentially illegal activity related to environmental and/or health and safety practices in
ports and at sea to the Chief Officer, (Environmental Management Officer,) and to the Master and /
or Chief Engineer.

If unable to fully interact with the vessel management onboard then I will contact the Company’s
Environmental Compliance Officer whose contact details are displayed on the Environmental Policy
Supplement notice, or if unavailable the Designated Person whose contact details are displayed on
the SFSAF 38 notice. Both notices are posted throughout the vessel. Non-compliance should be
reported as soon as reasonably practicable after the activity becomes known. In no event will a
reasonable time to report non-compliance with this situation exceed 24 hours.

I furthermore declare that any failure on my part to report any illegal or potentially illegal activity
related to environmental and/or health and safety practices is subject to disciplinary action, up to and
including termination of service.

Non-Retaliation Policy

Northern Marine Management assert that no Company personnel either ashore or afloat shall
retaliate against or in any way treat adversely any subordinate, co-worker, employee, or crew member
making a report in accordance with the above. Any Company employee who fails to comply with this
non-retaliation policy shall be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of service.
