ABOUT ALSTOM UBUNYE
Alstom Ubunye manufactures mechanical and electrical components for rolling stock (trains and locomotives).
The company is fast becoming a solid industrial, technical, and commercial base with an ambition to develop and
offer a broad range of mobility solutions for South Africa and neighbouring countries.
BURSARY PROGRAMMES
Bursaries will be awarded to top academic students for undergraduate
qualifications studies within the following or related fields:
• Accounting • Law
• Business Administration/Management • Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering • Metallurgical Engineering
• Environmental Health and Safety • Project Management
• Human Resources • Quality Management
• Information Technology • Supply Chain and Logistics Management
• Industrial Engineering
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the
requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
• South African citizen • You must be entering your 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of study
• In need of financial assistance to complete your studies in 2024
• Completed grade 12/matric between 2020 and 2023 • You must have a strong academic record and achieved
• You must be studying or intend studying towards an a minimum overall average of between 60% and 65%
undergraduate qualification, within one of the fields of for the previous year of study
study listed above in 2024 • You must not be employed in a permanent capacity.
• You must be studying or have been accepted to study
at a recognised and accredited public university in
South Africa
HOW TO APPLY
Complete the application form and provide the supporting documents below:
• Motivational Letter
• Updated CV
• ID document (certified copy)
• Grade 12 final results (certified copy)
• Proof of admission into a tertiary institution
• Full academic record to date (current tertiary students) (certified copy) on institutions letterhead
• Email the application form and all the above documents to: [email protected]
The bursary will be awarded to qualifying bursars for one year – it will be renewable on an annual
basis depending on the student’s academic performance.
