APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED TO THE POSITION OF DEAN (RESEARCH) IN THE APJ

ABDUL KALAM TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY,

The qualification and experience for the above position are as prescribed in the APJ Abdul
Kalam Technological University First Statutes, the original of which is in Malayalam issued
on 05.08.2020 by the Government of Kerala and published on the website of the
University. Applicants shall verify and confirm their eligibility for appointment to the position
by referring to the original of the First Statutes before submitting of application.

Applicants shall verify and satisfy themselves about the method of appointment and terms
and conditions of service prescribed in the Statutes before submission of the application.
Applications shall be submitted on or before the last date specified in this notification as
clause no.4. Applications once submitted shall be final and the contents therein will not be
allowed to be modified, corrected, or supplemented with additional documents

I. Qualifications, Experience, and Mode of Selection

The applicant should have teaching experience of not less than 20 years in the University
or Colleges affiliated to the University or Autonomous Colleges under the University or
Constituent Colleges of the University or Colleges with academic autonomy or National
institutes in the field of Engineering Technology recognized by the Central Government or
State Government, out of which 5 years shall be as Professor approved by the University
or the Director of Technical Education, and remaining 15 years in the teaching or research
field of Engineering.

II Manner of Selection:- The manner of selection for the position of Dean (Research) will
be as per Chapter 2 Sub Statute 21 of the First Statute of the University.

All details pertaining to qualifications, experience, pay scale, method of appointment, etc
are provided in the First Statute of the University (Chapter 2, Sections 20 to 37), a copy of
which is available on the website of the University. Applicants shall once again verify and
satisfy the method of appointment and terms and conditions of appointment specified in
the Statutes issued on 05.08.2020 and published on the website of the University, before
submitting the application.
III. Method of submitting Application

Applications shall be submitted in the format appended to this notification in hard copy
form. Self-attested copies of certificates/relevant documents in support of claims are to be
attached with the application wherever necessary.

IV. Last date of Application

The last date of receipt of the application to the office of the Registrar will be 05.00 p.m.
on 15th March 2024 .
