Lesson 11: Future Continuous Tense

Lesson Overview

Formation and Usage: Understanding how we

form this tense, and also how we use it.

there any similarities with these two tenses? What
are the differences?

Ongoing Actions: Looking at examples of how we

use this tense to emphasize the continuous action
in the future.
Future Continuous Tense

What is it?

The future continuous tense, also known as the

future progressive tense, is a grammatical
construction used to describe an ongoing or
continuous action that will take place in the
future.
Forming Future Continuous Tense

This tense is formed by using the auxiliary verb

"will". Add the auxiliary verb "be" after "will’’,
followed by the base form of the main verb and
adding the present participle form of the verb
(-ing form).

Subject + will + be + verb(-ing)

progress at a specific point in the future. It
emphasizes the duration or temporary nature of
the action.
