NOTIFICATION

Dated Aizawl, the 13th June, 2024

The Government of Mizoram had notified the Mizoram Recruitment/Service


(Amendment) Rules, 2024 vide No.A-11019/1/2021-P&AR (GSW) dt. 9th April, 2024 which
mandates that for all recruitments to Group ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ under the Government of
Mizoram, a candidate must achieve a minimum score in the qualifying test of Mizo
Language Proficiency as prescribed by the Government from time to time.
In pursuance of the Mizoram Recruitment/Service (Amendment) Rules, 2024, for
all advertisements floated on or after 09.04.2024, the Mizoram Public Service Commission
will conduct Mizo Language Proficiency Test (Qualifying Test) (MLP Test) for all
Direct Recruitments conducted by the Commission.
Syllabus for MLP Test is available for download fom the Mizoram Public
Service Commission’s official website https://mpsc.mizoram.gov.in
Note: 1. A candidate who studied Mizo subject in Class-X standard (HSLC) or above
within Mizoram or who opted for Mizo subject as MIL outside Mizoram is
exempted from taking the qualifying test paper.
2. Candidates who fail to achieve minimum score in the MLP Test and do not
have proof of MLP will be disqualified even if they have been shortlisted for
Screening of Documents.
