1) Application Letter
An application letter is one of the first few things that you need to prepare when applying for a job.
Your appl letter, together with your resume are two of the most immportant documents you need in your
bid to get a job and finally join the company.
Your application letter serves as your formal introduction with your potential employer. It contains
your background, summarizes your knowledge and experiences and includes a few more details as to why
you are qualified for the job. More importantly, your application letter expresses your intent to apply for a
specific job within an organization, business or company,

1) Social Function
The primary social function of an application letter is to persuade the employer that you are a suitable
candidate for the position. It aims to:

Most resumes consist of work history, education, a professional summary and a list of skills.
Resumes are usually the first impression a potential employer has of you. Resumes are often the
most important step in the application process. Here are some additional reasons why resumes are
important:
a. Contact information
Name, Telephone number, address and email address
b. Professional summary
This is a short summary of your professional experiences, skills and goals that you may write to reflect
the job to which you’re applying. A professional summary is typically two to three sentences long.
You can place this underneath your header so it appears first on your resume and introduces the rest of
your work history and skills.
c. Education
Name of school, Majoring, Year gradute.
d. Work experience
List of position, Name of company, Address, Time of working/training

and documents.
