Objective:
The objective of this project is to design, develop, and construct
a high-performance Formula electric race car that
demonstrates engineering innovation and competitiveness in
collegiate racing circuits. By integrating interdisciplinary
expertise and iterative design methodologies, the project aims
to optimize the vehicle's performance. Additionally, the project
seeks to foster experimental learning, teamwork, and
technological advancement among team members, while also
promoting sustainability and the adoption of electric
propulsion technology in the automotive sector. Ultimately, the
project aims to highlight the potential of electric vehicles in
high-performance racing environments.

INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH:

This subsection delves into the rationale behind incorporating

expertise from various engineering disciplines into the project.
The collaborative effort of mechanical, electrical, and software
engineers is essential to tackle the multifaceted challenges
inherent in designing and constructing a Formula electric car. By
using diverse skill sets and perspectives, the team aims to
achieve comprehensive solutions that optimize the vehicle's
performance, efficiency, and safety. This section explores the
synergistic benefits of interdisciplinary collaboration,
emphasizing the complementary contributions of each
engineering discipline in addressing complex engineering
problems and pushing the boundaries of innovation.

Assigning Roles:

To effectively manage the complexities of the Formula electric

car project, each team member is assigned specific roles and
responsibilities tailored to their expertise and interests.
Through a collaborative process, roles are given based on
individual strengths, skill sets, and areas of specialization.
Roles are the following.

Mallinath Ogirala - CFD and Structural Analysis

Nayanth kavati- CAD Design
Aditya Naidu- Chassis Design and build
Aashrith- Assembly
Rishi Tez Reddy- Telemetry Systems
Abhinav Pulluri- Telemetry Systems
Tanish RAM- Control Algorithms

PROJECT TIMELINE

Project Timeline (June 2024 - May 2025):

During the timeline spanning from June 2024 to May 2025,
the Formula electric car project will undergo a series of
meticulously planned stages aimed at achieving key
milestones and delivering a high-performance vehicle. In the
initial phase, which encompasses June to September 2024, the
team will focus on concept development, design refinement,
and component sourcing. This will be followed by the
prototyping and fabrication phase from October 2024 to
January 2025, during which the vehicle's chassis, powertrain,
and electronic systems will be assembled and tested.
Subsequently, the testing and optimization phase, spanning
from February to April 2025, will involve rigorous
performance testing, data analysis, and iterative
improvements to enhance the car's speed, efficiency, and
reliability. Finally, in May 2025, the project will culminate in
the completion of the Formula electric car, ready for
participation in collegiate racing competitions. Throughout
the timeline, regular progress reviews, milestone assessments,
and adjustments to the project plan will ensure adherence to
deadlines and the successful realization of project aims.
