Definition :
Subsequent debits and credits are utilized when the original invoice quantity remains
constant, such as in the case of a Logistics Invoice Verification.
Your company intends to utilize subsequent debit/credit for the processing of these
documents.
For Example:
Subsequent Debit:
If a vendor accidentally invoices you for a low price, they send a second invoice for
the difference. If the PO item has already been invoiced, you must enter this second
item as a subsequent debit item when requesting payment to the vendor.
Subsequent Credit:
If a vendor accidentally invoices you a high price, send a credit memo for the difference, and
record it as Subsequent credit when receiving the money from the vendor.

Definition:
Subsequent credit is a complementary method that can be used to compensate for overcharged
goods delivered, allowing for the correction of overpayment without affecting the record of the quantity
of goods delivered, when the invoice price exceeds agreed upon.
