METHOD STATEMENT - PILE STATIC LOAD TEST

I. INTRODUCTION
Pilestatic load test is usually carried out to ensure the structural and Geotechnical
soundness of pile and also to predict settlement of other piles. The common
procedure is to increase the load in stages until the proposed working load is reached
and then to unload and reduce the load in stage and to leave the load off until the rise
or rebound substantially leases.

A variety of test procedures and method have been developed for carrying pile load,
amongst the most common procedure for pile load test is by using Kentledge method
where a static load is apply direction to the pile with the required surplus.

III. COMPRESSION LOADING TEST.

A. METHOD STATEMENT
1. StandartMethod with ASTM D. 1143 - 81 (Reapproved 1994).

2. Hydraulic Jack is equipped with a plate to keep it upright. Plat as its

foundation laid over the pile in the test.

3. Piles that will be tested in advance of GROUTING to strengthen and

flatten with Grouting Sika.

4. Installation REFERENCE BEAM (pedestal reference beam) on both

sides of Pile, positioned so that does not change position during
burdened pile.

5. Installation diagonally 4 (four) DIAL MILIMETER (watch

measurement) with accuracy level 0.01-50mm, which serves to measure
the movement of the pole, located above the Dial Gauge REFERENCE
BEAM (pedestal reference beam).

6. All reactions should Stable and Balanced loading, during loading test
lasts a backlash movement of the load is read when the instrument gauge
should be monitored or considered to obtain thorough results.

7. During implementation, around the test site is not allowed there

activities that cause vibration because it will affect the accuracy of the
reading test.

8. Required Hydraulic Jack which has a load capacity of at least 120% for
experiment load. At the time of the experiment should be shielded from
the sun.

V. TENSION LOAD TEST.

A. METHOD STATEMENT

1. StandartASTM D 3689 - 90 (Reapproved 1995).

2. Piles that will be tested is shown pc wire about 50 cm long.

3. The PC Wire of pile locked with button and Plate.

4. Installation BOX FRAME (for tensile of pile) include with plate for lock
PC Wire pile.

5. Installation H-Beam to put Hydraulic jack and placed on cross sides of

Pile wich rest on counter weight, positioned so that does not change
position during test.

6. Hydraulic Jack is equipped placed above H-Beam and placed in such a

way that it can lift the box frame.

7. Installation REFERENCE BEAM (pedestal reference beam) on both sides

of Pile, positioned so that does not change position during burdened pole.

8. Installation diagonally 4 (four) DIAL MILIMETER (watch measurement)

with accuracy level 0.01-50mm, which serves to measure the movement
of the pile, located above the Dial Gauge REFERENCE BEAM (pedestal
reference beam).

9. All reactions should Stable and Balanced tensioning, during tension test
lasts a rebound movement of the tension is read when the instrument
gauge should be monitored or considered to obtain thorough results.

10. During implementation, around the test site is not allowed there activities
that cause vibration because it will affect the accuracy of the reading test.

A. METHOD STATEMENT

1. StandartASTM D 3966- 90 (Reapproved 1995).

2. Piles that will be lateral tested have elevation equal with design of Top Of Pile
Cap

3. Installation Counter Weight with load 220% ton from work load test.

4. Installation Hydraulic Jack and placed horizontally with the counter weight
behind Hydraulic Jack.

5. Installation REFERENCE BEAM (with counter weight), positioned so that does

not change position during burdened pole.

6. Installation 2 (two) DIAL MILIMETER (watch measurement) with accuracy
