 Stresses and deformation in circular shafts and helical spring due to torsion.
 Slopes and deflections in determinate beams by various methods.
 Stresses and deformations induced in thin and thick shells.

and compound bars – Thermal stresses – Elastic constants - Volumertric strains – Stresses on inclined
planes – Principal stresses and principal planes – Mohr’s circle of stress.
