CHAPTER 1

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

INTRODUCTION

The PlastiCycle represents a transformative journey for plastic materials, shifting

them from being perceived as waste to valuable resources. Through recycling, plastics

are collected, sorted, cleaned, and processed into new products or materials, thus

extending their lifespan and reducing the demand for virgin plastics. This cycle

embodies the principles of the circular economy, where resources are used efficiently and

waste is minimized.

At its core, the PlastiCycle is driven by innovation and collaboration. From

individuals and communities to industries and governments, stakeholders across the

globe are coming together to develop and implement strategies for plastic recycling.

Advanced technologies play a crucial role, enabling the efficient recycling of various

types of plastics and facilitating the creation of high-quality recycled products.

Moreover, the Plastic Cycle brings about numerous environmental, social, and

economic benefits.

College of International Hospitality Management

PlastiCyle is derived from the word “Plastic and Recycle” . which was mean

recycled plastics. In today's world, the issue of plastic waste has become a pressing

concern, with its detrimental effects on the environment becoming increasingly evident.

However, amidst the challenges posed by plastic pollution, there lies a promising

solution: the Plastic Cycle or Recycled Plastics. This innovative approach not only

addresses the problem of plastic waste but also presents a pathway towards a more

sustainable future.

By diverting plastic waste from landfills and oceans, it helps mitigate

pollution and protect ecosystems. Additionally, recycling conserves valuable natural

resources and reduces greenhouse gas emissions associated with plastic production.

Furthermore, the recycling industry generates employment opportunities and fosters

economic growth, particularly in regions with robust recycling infrastructure. As we

embrace the Plastic Cycle, we embark on a journey towards a more sustainable and

circular economy. By recognizing the value in plastic waste and harnessing the power

of recycling, we can create a world where plastics are no longer a burden but a valuable

asset in our efforts to build a cleaner, greener, and more resilient planet. Together, let

us embrace the Plastic Cycle and pave the way towards a brighter future for

generations to come.

Name of the Business

PlastiCyle is derived from the word “Plastic and Recycle”. which was mean

recycled plastics. In today's world, the issue of plastic waste has become a pressing

concern, with its detrimental effects on the environment becoming increasingly evident.

And with that we came up by deciding to make a sustainable plastic cycle wherein

we can be able to make the plastic be reusable again. The term "plasticycle" refers to

the process of recycling plastics, typically in a closed-loop system, where the plastics are

collected, sorted, processed, and reused to create new plastic products.

It emphasizes the concept of creating a circular economy for plastic materials,

red uc in g wa s t e and env i r on men t a l imp act .

Owners of the Business

The business will be managed by a group of colleagues, who are willing to

introduce some typical type of recycled products in the market.

This type of business organization is partnership, because they want to run the

business with the risk of unlimited liability.

“C H A R A C T E R B U I L D I N G I S N A T I O N B U I L D I N 3
G”
College of International Hospitality Management

Location of the Business

The business will be located at Rizal Avenue, Cauayan City. The place was

chosen because of the high demand of good qualities of souvenirs and pasalubongs

that serves less expensive, budget friendly and eco-friendly souvenirs. The place was

chosen because there are different competitors around the area.

Type of Business Organization

Plasticyle is established as a Partnership, chosen for its liability limitations and

ease of capital infusion. The partnership structure allows for diverse skills among

partners, enhancing business operations. With shared responsibilities, decision-making

is collaborative, fostering efficient management and facilitating growth through

flexible financial resourcing. The Plastic souvenir venture benefits from the

simplicity and synergy inherent in this organizational form.

CHAPTER 2

MANAGEMENT ASPECT

The individuals who made up the business can be used to examine management

in one way or another. It is believed that they are the ones in charge of the

organization's actions. The planning, decision-making, or exercise of control

and oversight over certain organizational functions is known as management.

Achieving the vision and mission is essential for any kind of organization or

company venture, no matter how big or little. The management needs to be set up

correctly in order to accomplish this.

One of the benefits of using a partnership as a company organization structure is

that it allows partners to provide initial cash for the business. Accordingly, the more

partners there are in the business, the more capital they can contribute, resulting in

increased flexibility and growth possibilities. Flexibility, which makes a partnership

simpler to establish, maintain, and operate. They are significantly more flexible

in terms of management as long as the partners can agree, and they are less closely

controlled than companies in terms of the rules governing their formation and

operations. This is because the partners are the only ones who can decide how the

firm is run, free from interference from shareholders. Shared accountability

between the partners.

This is a joint duty in managing the company. They will be able to maximize

their potential as a result. They could divide the labor based on skill sets instead of

dividing the management and taking equal portions of every business duty. Here,

partners collaborate on decisions and support one another as necessary.More

collaborators approximate to more minds capable of solving challenges the

company may face and contributing creative business ideas.

This feasibility study on management includes information on the number of

employees needed for the business, their work requirements, compensation and

benefits, and the approach to management that will be used.

The management theory that is applicable to PlastiCycle is the Human Relations

Theory.

Human Relations Theory, it state that employees are more motivated by social

factors like personal attention or being part of a group than environmental factors,

such as money and working conditions.

MISSION

Plasticycle's mission embodies a radical shift in waste management, advocating for

sustainability and innovation. By challenging conventional practices, Plasticycle pioneers a new era

of recycling, driving the transition towards a circular economy. Their vision demands critical

examination of current norms to foster a more environmentally-conscious society.

Consider the materials you have available and how you want the final

product to look. Sketch out a basic design to serve as a reference during

construction.

3. Prepare Materials, if using newspapers or magazines, fold them into sturdy

strips or sheets to provide strength and durability o strips or flatten

them to be used as "plarn" (plastic yarn).

4. Create Panels, lay out your chosen materials and start forming panels for

the bag. You can weave the strips together, layer them, or sew them to

create larger piece. Consider mixing different materials for a unique and

visually interesting design.
