It is easily recognizable by its stocky body
without a tail, big head, fluffy ears, and large
nose. It measures between 60 and 85 cm and
weighs between 4 and 15 kg. Their coat color
ranges from silver gray to chocolate brown.

Koalas are mostly active at night.It is a nocturnal


animal.
Koalas sleep approximately 20 hours a day to
store energy because their diet requires a lot of
energy to digest.

Is an herbivore that live in the eucalyptus forests
of eastern Australia. They live in trees and are
rarely found on the ground. Koala bears hug
tree trunks to cool off.
They are sensitive to heat, so koalas occupy only
the coasts and eastern Australia away from the
warmer northern regions, where summer heat
can reach 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

living on a diet based on leaves.The digestive
system of the koala is specially adapted to
eliminate the toxic components of the leaves
