I. Introduction
( Joyce Meyer ), an American can author one said
Teacher can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and challenges. “

As an educator I have always believed that teaching is a gratifying career that


allows you to mentor, inspire develop the potential of children, and guiding them
to become responsible and productive, and citizens of the society

However this noble profession brings now challenges every day… from under
standing the learners, their discipline in the classroom, time management bullying,
communication with parents, endless paperwork to excessive workloads and
overtime all theses test the resilience, organizational management, and teamwork
abilities.

II. Objectives

1. To assess the reading level of the learners through giving pre-test


2. To increase and improve the reading proficiency of learners by giving engaging
activities and by using best practices
3. To intensify reading abilities and encourage a sense of personal responsibility for
learner’s own progress
4. To upgrade the knowledge and skills of English teachers on lesson planning and
instructional materials development

V. Conclusion / Recommendation

Reading involves comprehension at various levels. Poor comprehension skills


make reading challenging. It can also demotivate a learner from developing a reading
habit.

Parents play an active role in their children’s literary development. This means
reading to them, pointing out things in their environment to talk about, using
interesting vocabulary and make reading a happy, positive experience.
