ANTI-TIPPING DEVICE (SARL) CALIBRATION

PROCEDURE - EN15000 REGULATION -


Machine with no outriggers

MACHINE SHOULD BE ON FLAT GROUND WITH NO LOAD ON FORKS;


GET A LOAD READY TO MAKE THE CALIBRATION (we suggest a load of about 50%
of machine maximum lifting capacity)

- Select “fork mode” with the key on the right.

- Shut off diesel engine; make a bypass on X123 connector. You can find it in the cab, close to fuse and relay
box. Attention: anti-tipping system is by-passed, so it will not activate during calibration!

- Start the diesel engine.

- On small display you will see “NO STAB” (it means “NO OUTRIGGERS”). Keep the right button pressed to
confirm: “1 CELL” will appear.

- With no load on forks, boom completely in and completely up.

- Press the right button: “CAL” will be blinking for few seconds. The system will be memorizing unloaded
position for the machine and the relevant pointer will move to red zone.

- Lift a load of known weight previously prepared. It should be about 50% of machine maximum capacity.

- Keeping the load very close to ground (no more that 20 cm), boom out till the movement should stop. Please
refer to relevant load table inside the cab or on machine Service and Maintenance manual.

- Wait a few seconds till the boom stop oscillating and press right button: “CAL” will be blinking for few
seconds. The system will be memorizing loaded position for the machine and the relevant pointer will move
to green zone.

- Don’t shut off diesel engine. Remove the by-pass from X123 connector.

- Anti-tipping system will be on: turn the unstable by-pass key to retract the boom.

- Check anti-tipping system: is it working OK?

SHOVEL MODE: HOW TO CHECK THE


CORRECT OPERATION
It is possible to select “shovel mode”with selection mode key. Till boom lenght is less than a certain value (depending
from machine model and boom model), switch B643 is closed and SARL system will not activate, even when poiter is
on red area. It is possible to check the correct functionning of shovel mode by following below procedure:

- Select “shovel mode”.

- Put on forks a load very close to maximum machine’s lifting capacity. Boom must be down and retracted.
The pointer should be on red zone.

- Boom out very slowly.

- Initially the buzzer will not activate and movement will not stop.

- When switch B643 opens, buzzer should activate and movement should immediately stop.
