1.0 HSE Requirement

1.1 Method Statement/ MSRA, Material & Drawings are Approved.

1.2 Check Safety Requirements Protection, barricading & signages are in


place.

2.0 FORMWORK

2.1 Ensure that all temporary & permanent formworks are placed as per the
approved drawing, inspected & verified by the surveyors
Check that all openings / provision for other services have been retained

Embedded items if any are installed as per the approved drawings and

are properly supported.
2.4 Check & ensure that Setting out, Alignment, elevation and dimensions are
as per latest approved drawing.

3.0 REINFORCEMENT

3.1 Verify that approved Steel bars are delivered to site & all test results are
available for the supplied bars.
3.2 Check Reinforcing bars are cut to sizes, tied to correct spacing and placed
as per drawing.
3.3 Check all embedded items (H.D.Bolt, Sleeves, Conduits etc & Concrete
covers are in place as per spec and drawing.

3.4 Check that all starter bars are in place for the verticals.

3.5 Check that all lap locations are as per the approved drawing & sufficient
lap length is provided at all places.

3.6 Check that sufficient cover to reinforcement is maintained at all places.,


sufficient no of cover blocks is provided below the bottom reinforcement

3.7 Check that the reinforcement is cleaned from rust, dust etc before
proceeding with the concrete.

4.0 PRE-POUR CHECK

4.1 Verify the Concrete Design Mix is approved.

4.2 Ensure that the area to receive Concrete is Clean.

4.3 Check & ensure that sufficient work space is available for concrete pump
set out & concrete mixer movement.

4.4 Check and ensure that concrete placing & compacting equipments are
available at site with stand by.

4.5 Check & ensure that all concrete testing equipments (slump cone,
thermometer, cube moulds etc) are available at site.

4.6 Check & ensure that Polythene sheets, Hessian cloth & portable water are
available at site for concrete curing

5.0 CHECKS ON ARRIVAL OF CONCRETE

5.1 Check that the arrived Concrete is in accordance with the Design mix.
Ensure the Concrete Temperature is less than 30-degree C.

Check that concrete slump is as per the approved mix design-
5.3

5.4 Check slump & temperature of all concrete trucks.

5.5 Check the batching time of the concrete. & ensure that sufficient time left
for pouring.

5.6 Check & ensure that cubes samples are taken for compressive strength
test & durability test as per the method statement.

5.7 Ensure that Concrete is placed as specified & consolidated with proper
vibrator.

5.8 Ensure Construction Joints are provided as per Drawing.

5.9 Check that the Concrete finishes are as per specification and drawing.

5.10 Ensure that area is tidy & Concrete is protected.

6.0 POST POUR CONCRETE CHECK

6.1 Check that curing is on progress as per the approved method statement.

6.2 Check any Cracks, pour holes, Honey Combs exist in the concrete.

6.3 Ensure Remedial work completed as per specification (if any)

6.4 Check that the Formwork is removed upon Concrete attains sufficient
strength.
