1) Quickly read the text and answer the question:

Why did Fatima feel frustrated throughout the week, and what changed her
perspective?

A) She felt frustrated because their schedules were busy and they had no time to talk. Her
perspective changed because she got used to it.

It was a frustrating week. First, our schedules were so busy because of my CELTA course
that we barely had time to talk. He might have managed his time if he had made an effort to
visit me just once. When I finally had some free time, I realized he hadn’t even tried to
rearrange his schedule. If he’d cared enough to find a way, we could have seen each other.
And when I looked at my phone to text him, there was a message saying he was too busy
again. I could have made other plans if he had let me know earlier! But then he visited me
yesterday and explained everything, and I felt sorry for getting so upset. If he had explained
everything last week, I wouldn’t have gotten so upset!
