Host 2: For today’s episode we are going to listen the students experiences during the English Camp.
Host 1: We invited some students from SMP Ananda who went an English Summer camp, and they are
going to share some of their experiences and facts about the places that they visited, but before that,
let’s give time to introduce themselves.
Host 1: I heard you guys went on an English Camp to Singapore and Malaysia
Host 2: How was it? Is it fun or kinda tiring?
Stud 2: It was amazing, because not only it is my first time going to Mainland Asia and going outside the
country, but I’ve also got to see the Merlin Statue, Changi Airport and Twin Tower, not alone but with my
friends and teachers.ss
Stud 4: For me, it’s spectacular because it was my first time to another country tho. And for this time, not
with my family, best friends, or relatives, but with my classmates. And a new view makes me amazed
because Singapore And Malaysia is very different with my country.
Host 1: How about you? ( Talking to H2 ) Have you ever experience went on a trip with your classmates?
Host 2: For that case, yes. But we were not going to stay so it is like a field trip. Field trip is an
educational thing perhaps outside the school, just visit the place and going back to the first place.
Stud 1: In my opinion,I felt awkward during the trip because I didn’t talk to much while on the plane and
that makes me so sweaty.
Stud 1: We took ___ for about ___ hours, we stayed in a hotel and that all for that day.
Stud 3:
Host 2: Wow! I wonder if I come with you guys. I heard you went to the iconic Merlion statue.
Stud 3: Yes, and Merlion statue is popular tourist destination and visitors often take photos with the
statue in the background. The statue is also a popular symbol of Singapore and is often used in
marketing and advertising campaigns.
Host 2: What have you learned an experience for the first time in Malaysia?
Stud 2: I learned that in Malaysia, we should focus more on tourism so that people can come to our
country more, people can know more about the diversity of our culture, and we can get money from
tourism.
Host2: But the trip didn’t end there right? Since you went to Johor Bahru what places did you visit there?
stud1: Do you love lego? I’m sure you do. We visited Legoland, the first theme park in Asia. I have just
dreamt this place before, but I can believe that I step my foot on that place. Even it’s a short time but it
was a wonderful experience.
Stud2: Aside from the theme parks and airport we also visited some school, just like the Tan Chong
Technical Schools to learn a lot of things. And then we went to the TWIN TOWERS. Did you know the
Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia used to hold the title of the world's tallest buildings?
Stud1:
The Petronas Towers are the world's tallest twin skyscrapers and remained the tallest buildings in
Malaysia until 2019, when they were surpassed by The Exchange 106. The Petronas Towers are a major
landmark of Kuala Lumpur, along with the nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower and Merdeka 118, and are visible
in many places across the city.
Host3: And I also heard that you went to some kind of chocolate factory?
Stud3: I wish you were there. I’m gonna tell you something about the factory, Beryl’s started out with
manufacturing consumer- packed chocolates that were sold mainly to duty-free shops and supermarkets
across the country. If you like sweets and sugary delight it was really a beautiful sight.
stud2:And if you wish to study there and follow the Indonesian national curriculum there is also Sekolah
Indonesia.. Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL) is an Indonesian international school located in Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia. It provides Indonesian national curriculum education to students from kindergarten to
senior high school (SMA). The school offers a variety of programs besides the core curriculum, including
extracurricular activities, cultural events, and Islamic religious education programs.
stud1: Batu Caves, also known as Gua Batu (Malay for "Cave Rock"), is a limestone hill complex with a
series of caves and cave temples, located in Gombak District, Selangor, Malaysia. It's a popular Hindu
religious and tourist attraction near Kuala Lumpur, about 13 kilometers north of the city center.
stud3: Highland Awana Skyway is a gondola lift system that connects Resorts World Genting, a famous
integrated resort located on the peak of Genting Highlands in Malaysia, to the Chin Swee Caves Temple
located at the mid-hill.
Stud: (answer)
