WHAT IS COPYWRITING?

Copywriting is the act of writing a text for

advertising or other forms of marketing.

Copywriting can also be defined as the act

of selling with words.

As a copywriter your job is simply to make

people take specific actions, like clicking a
button, signing up for an email list, or
buying a product.

Your copies needs to be capable of luring

people into buying your products.

So therefore as an affiliate marketer, you

must learn how to create persuasive
copywritings that can boost your sales.

Types of copywriters

Here I will be listing out the types of

copywriters.

There are two types of copywriters;

1.Corporate copywriters

Corporate copywriters are copywriters that

are employed by a company and they are
been paid monthly salaries for the copies
they create for the company.

As corporate copywriter,you are been

confined to your salary. No matter the
amount of money you make for the
company in a month, your salary will remain
the same.

2. Freelance Copywriters

Freelance Copywriters are copywriters that

fix the price for the copies they write and
call the shots.

A freelance Copywriter is the boss of

himself, he is not under anyone or any
company,he creates his copies and sell
them according to his wish.

As a freelance Copywriter, you can only be

limited by how good you are.

Because how perfect you are, determine the

amount you can make in a month.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD
COPYWRITER.

To become a good copywriter, there are

some factors you need to consider!

1. You must be a researcher

2. You have to be emotional

3. You must understand and use the write

words when creating a copy

4.You must be creative

5. You must be persuasive

If you really want to become a successful

copywriter, you must consider the above
characteristics.
COPYWRITING FORMULAS

There are different formulas that are being

used for creating copywritings.

The prince of Copywriting (Emmanuel Akpe)

developed his own formula, which is HHCC.
Then there also is the AIDA formula, which
is very popular in the copywriting world.

HHCC is an abbreviation for Heading, Hook,

Content, and Call to Action.

Now let me briefly explain the meaning of

heading, hook, content and call to action
according to the prince of Copywriting
(Emmanuel Akpe).

1. Heading
Heading is the first thing you write. It’s the 8
-10 words that you use to grab attention.
The heading isn’t meant to sell, rather it is
meant to grab attention, because attention
is the rule of the game. There are lots of
things troubling people, and there is a lot of
content everywhere competing for their
attention, so you need to grab people’s
attention.

Some examples of heading you can use as

an affiliate marketer are:

-DISCOVER THE SURE FIRE SYSTEM OF

MAKING 100K-500K MONTHLY!

-HOW I MADE MY FIRST MILLION ONLINE.

They grabbed your attention right? Sure it

will!

They are many headings you can create,

make sure your heading is capable of
drawing the attention people.

2. Hook

Hook is what you do to make people read to

the end. It’s that promise you reserve for
those who make it to the end. For example,
“If you read this to the end, it will totally
transform your life,” “If you want to take
away from this post, five things that will
totally transform your life, make sure you
read to the end.” While the heading grabs
their attention, the hook makes them read
to the end.

Note: The heading grabs their attention

while the hook make them to read to the
end!

3. Content

Content has lots of things in it. The content

is basically where everything happens. So,
in the content, you state:

 The Problem
 The Solution
 Benefits of the solution
 Testimonials

Money back guarantee: Here you can give

them a guarantee that if your product
doesn't work out, they can always get their
money back.

The Price Justification: What you want to

do is you want to tell them why they are
paying that amount. This is to justify the
reason you are charging a particular price
for your products.

Bonuses:You need to add some bonuses

when advertising your products.
4. Call to action

There are three things in the call to action,

which are: Urgency, Scarcity, and the
payment methods. Urgency has to do with
time. You’re telling us that “by 12 o’clock,
this price will increase,” or “I will stop taking
payment.” Scarcity has to do with people.
For example, “I only need 20 people or just
30 people.” Payment method directs people
on how and where to pay. For example,
“Pay through Selar, or make a direct
transfer to your account.

These is all about the HHCC Copywriting

formula by the prince of Copywriting
(Emmanuel Akpe).
Now lets talk about the AIDA formula, one of
the common formula in the Copywriting
world.

The AIDA is a short form for Attention,

Interest, Desire, And Action.

1. Attention

Grab their attention with your header!

2.Interest

This is the hook, the big promise that will

make them interested in delving further into
your copy. This is what makes them read
your copy to the end.

3.Desire:

The desire is the content. So, the problem,

the solution, the benefits, the testimonies,
the guarantee, the price justification, the
bonuses are what we desire. Even if people
don’t buy, ensure that they leave with
information that will add value to their life.
It can be a quote, a statistic, or even some
value you just found out. They should
always leave with something valuable.

4. Action:

A call to action is where you determine the

urgency of your product or service, because
if you don’t give a sense of urgency, people
might procrastinate. So, put in scarcity, and
also provide payment options.

These is all about the AIDA formula.

Now let's talk about the HSO formula .

HSO= hook, story, and offer .This formula

is from Russell Brunson.

1.Hook:

We’ve talked about hook in the first

strategy. It’s always the big promise, like
what they are going to get, What problems

they are facing and solutions to the

problems.
2.Story:

This is you telling them what you went

through in that problem. For instance, “My
name is Emmanuel , I used to be

very broke and financially incompetent,I

couldn't foot my bills or even assist my
family until I found affiliate marketing.

Now I am better …” That’s it, really you’re

telling them the story of your life and
everything else in between.

3.Offer: Here is where you give the solution

to their problem. For instance, “If you start
affiliate marketing, it's going to change your
life, make you more financially confident,
and you are going to make more money.

These is all about the HSO copywriting

formula.

I believe you must have learnt the basics of

copywritings in this ebook .
