limitations.
Burauen Comprehensive National High School has implemented a new regulation known as the
No Inventory, No Exam Policy (NINEP). This policy seeks to encourage students to take
responsibility for their learning and ensure that they are adequately prepared for their exams. The
literature review revealed that similar policies have been implemented in schools around the
world, with varying degrees of success.
Some studies found positive outcomes, such as increased student responsibility and exam
performance, while others found mixed results or difficulties in implementation. The review
emphasized the importance of clear communication, consistent enforcement, and ongoing
support for both students and teachers in ensuring that such policies are implemented
successfully. The implementation of NINEP in BCNHS is a promising initiative for increasing
student accountability and exam performance. To ensure effective implementation, lessons from
previous studies and research on similar policies must be considered.
The "No Inventory, No Exam Policy" encourages students to be more responsible, which has a
positive effect on their academic performance, according to data from grade 11 HUMSS students
in the class of 2023–2024. As a result, it may increase burdens for students, who may find it
difficult or impossible to finish the paperwork that needs to be signed by the teacher owing to
financial constraints. This could have a detrimental effect on students' academic performance.
They could consequently go through periods of stress and depression, which could eventually
result in poor academic performance.
It is indisputable that pressure to live up to teacher expectations causes problems and challenges
for Burauen Comprehensive National High School's Grade 11 HUMSS students. Due to their
carelessness, students must remain outside. One of the most annoying things for teachers to deal
with is when students arrive late and have to wait for hours, even though it was their fault in the
first place for not finishing the slip by the deadline. Some people, though, might find it difficult
to accept that they were turned down and did not get the opportunity to take the test. A student
may receive low marks or fail the course if they are unable to take their exam. This might
negatively affect their academic performance.
For students, not being able to take an exam can result in a great deal of stress and anxiety.
Physical symptoms like headaches, stomachaches, and trouble sleeping may result from this. In
certain situations, students might need to retake the course or pay to reschedule the exam. For
students who are already finding it difficult to pay for their education, this could lead to financial
difficulties.
Students may need to reschedule appointments for work or personal use if they are unable to take
their exam on the scheduled day. Time management problems and more stress may result from
this. A student might not have had enough time to adequately prepare if they are forced to miss
their exam due to unavoidable circumstances. Lower scores and a feeling of disappointment may
follow from this.
The "No Inventory No Exam Policy influenced the teaching and learning practices as it helps
students to be consistent and responsible. This influenced the students to be responsible in
completing all the requirements needed in able to take the examination.
The "No Inventory No Exam Policy" is considered as a process that needs to be completed
before the examination day. It encourages the students to comply the needed requirements that
enable them to be well-desciplined and resilient.
