Assessment 1 Part B INSTRUCTIONS

Have you completed the Assessment 1 Part A eTest? You must complete the eTest before you are able to
commence this reflection.

You can complete this reflection any time upon completion of the Assessment 1 eTest, up until the due
date. Study the rubric to see how marks will be allocated to you. Access and download the Assessment
1 Part B SUBMISSION TEMPLATE to view the rubric.

Instructions – answer this question: Word count = 350 +/- 10%

Reflective writing requires critical thinking. Now that you have completed the eTest,
reflect upon your preparation for the eTest and the results, in the context of the
feedback received regarding learning outcomes. You must analyse how your
preparation, influenced by personal values, impacted your eTest mark and the
feedback you received. You will also need to think about how this experience will
influence future learning in this unit specifically.

 Use your knowledge of the What? So What? Now What? Model of reflection.
 You must use reflective language. Download Reflection prompts and language.doc and
incorporate into your reflection.

Use the subheadings + prompts below to guide you when answering the question:

What?
Describe the eTest experience, beginning with your preparation, to sitting the test and then
receiving feedback on the answers you provided. Think about YOUR learning goal and the effect
your preparation efforts had on the outcome; what worked and what did not go well?

Note: remember to look at the eTest feedback so you can incorporate unit content here 😉

So What? This step requires a bit of analysis!

Identify two of your personal values and your own actions/behaviours around this eTest; what effect
did these have on the final outcome? Hint: Consider the learning value gained, not simply the mark
achieved. Did past experience guide your approach here? Why did things go the way they did? What
does this tell you about your knowledge of unit content and your general study approach? What was
most significant about this experience? It is helpful to give specific examples.
Note: the eTest mark and feedback provides evidence to support your views here; what have you
learned about yourself from this? Don’t forget to identify your two values here.
Now What?
How will this experience help you learn new and challenging content from this point forward? What
will you do differently or better? What is the most significant thing you learned through this
experience?
Note: here, think about how this relates to further personal growth and achievement of learning
outcomes in this unit.
