SPLITUP SYLLABUS-2024-25
CLASS: VII SUBJECT : MUSIC
1. Music education plays a crucial role in the holistic development of individuals,
offering a multitude of benefits that extend beyond simply learning to play an
instrument or sing. Engaging with music stimulates various parts of the brain,
contributing to improved cognitive abilities such as memory, attention, and
problem-solving skills. Studies have shown that students who participate in
music education often perform better in other academic subjects, including
mathematics and language arts. Music provides a unique outlet for emotional
expression and creativity.
2. Children who grow up listening to music develop strong music-related
connections in the brain. Some of these music pathways actually affect the way
we think. Listening to classical music seems to improve our spatial reasoning,
at least for a short time. And learning to play an instrument may have an even
longer effect on certain thinking skills.
3. Music education is essential for nurturing well-rounded individuals, fostering
cognitive, emotional, social, and cultural development, and enriching lives in
countless ways. It should be regarded as a fundamental component of
education, accessible to all individuals regardless of their background or
abilities.
4. Exposing the students through music to the cultural multiplicity of the
countries five different regions – North, South , East, North-east and west in
an interesting manner.

SPLITUP SYLLABUS-2024-25
CLASS: VIII SUBJECT : MUSIC
1. Music education plays a crucial role in the holistic development of
individuals, offering a multitude of benefits that extend beyond simply
learning to play an instrument or sing. Engaging with music stimulates
various parts of the brain, contributing to improved cognitive abilities such
as memory, attention, and problem-solving skills. Studies have shown that
students who participate in music education often perform better in other
academic subjects, including mathematics and language arts. Music
provides a unique outlet for emotional expression and creativity.
2. Children who grow up listening to music develop strong music-related
connections in the brain. Some of these music pathways actually affect the
way we think. Listening to classical music seems to improve our spatial
reasoning, at least for a short time. And learning to play an instrument may
have an even longer effect on certain thinking skills.
3. Music education is essential for nurturing well-rounded individuals,
fostering cognitive, emotional, social, and cultural development, and
enriching lives in countless ways. It should be regarded as a fundamental
component of education, accessible to all individuals regardless of their
background or abilities.
4. Exposing the students through music to the cultural multiplicity of the
countries five different regions – North, South , East, North-east and west
in an interesting manner.
