3-Credit Course

Credits

UNIV 100: College and Career Readiness (3 credits)


• Is counted toward General Education requirements at the UoT for all majors
• Can be transferred to the degree programs at UoT for course exemptions

What is a three-credit course at the university level?


• 45 hours of contact with the instructor/s (1 credit = 15 contact hour)
• 135 hours of self-study (1 credit = 45 self-study hour)

Grade Distribution

Total possible points: 1,000 points


• Lecture Attendance: 150 points (10 points per lecture)
• Participation: 150 points
• Assignments: 600 points
• Interview: 100 points

Grading

Grades will be as follow.


• A: 901-1,000 points
• B: 801-900 points
• C: 701-800 points
• F: > 700 points

Attendance

Attendance is mandatory
• 1 absence: no points deducted
• > 2 absences: 15 points will be deducted per absence
• Fourth absence or up without an excuse will lead to an automatic dismissal from the course.
• Absences will be excused for valid reasons: academic exams, family emergencies. Other
reasons will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Please complete Absence Form (uploaded in Google Classroom) in advance to request an
excuse for an absence

The lecture session for each cohort has been announced in the Viber group.

There will be an online (optional) technical support sessions provided by academic affairs
staff
