I. OBJECTIVES

CONTENT STANDARD:
The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American
Literature and other text types serve as means of valuing other
people; also how to use processing information strategies, different
forms of adverbs and conditionals for him/her to play an active part
in a Chamber Theater presentation.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learner proficiently plays an active part in a Chamber Theater
presentation through employing effective verbal and non-verbal
strategies based on the following criteria: Focus, Voice, Delivery,
Facial expressions, Style and Body movements of gestures.

At the end of 60 minutes’ lesson, the students are expected to:


a. Identify the problem and the solution in a given sentence;
b. Apply their understanding of problem and solution to real-life
situations; and
c. Write the problem and determine the possible solutions in a given

Informational Text

- Is nonfiction. It present factual details or


information about particular persons, places,
things, events, and topics.

Purpose:

- To inform, persuade, or educate readers or


listeners about a particular problem and its
possible solutions.

The Framework of Problem - Solution Text

Purpose: To describe the nature of the problem


and present possible ways to solve it.

Structure:

 Introduction
- It presents an overview of the topic and
contains the thesis statement that will be
elaborated through the supporting details
in the body paragraphs.
 Body
- Problem: In describing the problem,
the writer usually discusses the cause
and effects of the problem.
- Solution: Supporting details

- Conclusion: The author restates the


main point of the text and confirms
what he/she has stated in the
