COURSE TITLE: LAW 123 - CRIMINAL PROCEDURE

COURSE AIM
The course aims at equipping students with principles and skills for handling proceedings of
criminal cases.
COURSE EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the course students are expected to be able to:
a) Identify relevant laws applicable to criminal cases
b) Draft relevant documents relating to criminal cases
c) Prosecute, defend or decide criminal matters in the courts of law
d) Provide legal guidance on how to handle criminal cases.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Law of contract affect almost every aspect of human life and relations in the sense that in
acquiring the necessaries of life people do engage in one kind or another of a contractual aspect.
This course provides students with a general knowledge of the law governing contractual
relations between subjects.
COURSE TITLE: LAW 125 - LAW OF CONTRACT II
COURSE AIM
This Course is intended to familiarize the students with the principles relating to Contracts in
general and the principles relating to Special Contracts. This will enable the students to acquire
skills and tools on various aspects of law of contract and its applications.
COURSE EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
After studying this Course the students should be able to:
a) Understand the principles governing different contractual aspects.
b) Understand implications of contractual transactions.
c) Understand the nature of contractual remedies.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Tort law describes a body of various and in some respects diffuses legal doctrines that have in
common the regulation of relations between private parties (including, in the modern era, public
authorities in their capacity as private parties. This course introduces you to the basic principles
that govern those different aspects of tort law. Discussion will also be spent on the tort of
negligence, both as a nominate tort and as the cause of various forms of loss.
