Instructions: Seating furniture (Indoor)

1. All wood to be kiln dried and treated to be insect and vermin free.
2. All hinges, screws, bolts and other internal hardware's to be resistant to corrosion.
3. All wood finishes to be stained, full-filled, alcohol, water and burn resistant catalyzed or conversion lacquer finish.
4. All internal finishes to match specified finish.
5. Polyurethane foam cushions to be flame retardant and must meet local fire codes. Cushion density must be a minimum of 45 kg / m
6. Provide heavy duty glides at base / legs.
7. Construction for desk chair, lounge chair, dining chair : Frame to be constructed from kiln dried solid hardwood, reinforced with corner blocks, glued and screwed to rail. All rails and posts to be doubled dowelled, screwed and glued in
place.Must be of fire retardant construction.
Remark : 01 8. Ensure that piece will fit in lifts and through doors prior to commencing fabrication. Show all pieces in shop drawings.
9. All fabrics to be dimensionally stable and with appropriate backing for upholstery use as recommended by fabric supplier.
10. Fabrics upholstery to be flame retardant and meet all applicable codes or at least ASTME-84 class ‘A’ on contract quality goods.
Warm and humid climate to use non-salt based flame proofing to prevent corrosion and mildew of fabrics.
11. Fabrics to be scotchguarded against stain and soil.
12. All fabrics to be delivered in largest bolt / roll to be of first quality only, no seconds, no bolt ends. Fabric to be pre-shrunk, and non-fading.
13. All materials must be suitable for use in tropical and high humidity areas.
14. 30 cm x 30 cm finish samples to be provided by the manufacturer for approval by IDA prior to production.
15. 30 cm x 30 cm wood and veneer stained finish samples to be submitted by the manufacturer for IDA approval prior to production.
16. Prototype to be provided by the manufacturer for approval by IDA prior to production.
17. All supplied items must be of contract quality and suitable for commercial use.

Instructions: Throw cushion

1. Cushion content : 30% goose feather + 70% goose down wrapped in calico and hand filled for softer look.
2. Fabricator to verify quantity before fabrication.
Remark : 02 3. Removable covers to have concealed teflon coated or nylon zipper.
4. All stitching to be double overlock, joined with safety stitching.
5. Fabricator to indicate the method of sewing all elements of each type of cushion cover especially the method for sewing the trims.
6. Fabricator to provide samples of throw cushions and covers for each type to IDA for approval prior to production.
7. Must be of contract quality and suitable for Hotel use.

Instructions: Casegoods furniture (Indoor)

1. All wood to be kiln dried and treated to be insect and vermin free.

4. All exposed and internal wood surfaces to match specified finishes.
5. Provide heavy duty glides at base / legs.
6. Drawer Slide : Provide full-extension heavy duty drawer slides.
7. Construction for consoles, bedside tables, coffee tables, bed frames : Rails and frames to be double dowelled, screwed and glued Veneer face plywood with solid edges for top / sides / back / drawer faces / door faces.
Remark : 03 8. Stones to be treated for alcohol and stain resistant where applicable.
9. Provide heat and stain resistant finish to top of case goods.
10. Ensure that piece will fit in lifts and through doors prior to commencing fabrication. Show all pieces in shop drawings.

Instructions: Drapery
1. Ceiling mounted with secret clamp : Straight hung double pleat drapery (250%fullness), split at centre, traverse drawn. Double pleated curtain with
reinforced corner stitching, sewn with a matching blackout.
2. Fabricator / Supplier to verify required quantity of fabric inclusive of lining if any.
3. Designated Fabricator to provide details for installation and heavy duty hardware.
4. New curtain tracks (2 Kirsch Architect #94004 baton drawn tracks with ball bearing carriers on similar hardware). Dia 9.5mm x H 1000mm pulling rod
with pocket detail to be provided.
5. Curtain to cover entire window with finished length of 5 mm above floor finished level.
Remark : 04 6. All patterned drapery widths are to be pattern-matched, starting from the bottom.
7. All drapery bottom hem with 100 mm doubled and blind stitched. Bottom hem to be weighted.
8. All side hems with 40 mm doubled and blind stitched. All headings with 100 mm doubled with a non-woven buckram.
9. All hardware and pin hooks to be of rust proof material.
10. Fabric used require a fabric protection treatment, soil / stain resistant finish.
11. Fabric must use non-salt based flame proofing to prevent corrosion and mildew of fabrics.
12. Fabric to comply with the British Standards or meet other equivalent codes for ‘Medium Hazard’ category of the Hotel’s standard requirements.
13. All fabric to be delivered in largest bolt / roll of first quality only, no seconds, no bolt ends. Fabric to be pre-shrunk, non-fading.
14. Fabric must be of contract quality and suitable for commercial use.

Instructions: Table Lamp (Indoor)

1. All supplied items to be contract quality, suitable for commercial use.
2. All materials to be guaranteed rust and corrosion proof.
3. Base to be weighted and stable; to provide felt @ base if applicable.
4. Manufacturer to provide finish and shade samples, shop drawings and exact prototype for IDA designer approval prior to fabrication.
Remark : 05 5. Dimensions are subject to change as per a result of perfecting the prototype.
6. Fixture must be Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approved and meet all applicable local code requirements for project location.
7. Manufacturer to supply all necessary hardware and instruction for installation of fixture.
8. Wattage: To be advised by Lighting Manufacturer / Lighting Consultant.
9. Refer to Preface “General Conditions” for warranty requirements, environmental guidelines and care/ maintenance instructions.

Instructions: Accessories (Painting)

1. All supplied items to be contract quality, suitable for commercial use.
Remark : 08 2. All items to be guaranteed corrosion-proof and mildew-resistant.

Instructions: Carpet / Rug

1. Mill to submit cutting/strike-off/sample for Designer approval.
2. Manufacturer must supply designer with coloured renderings of all patterns, strike-off samples and yarn samples of each color yarn for approval prior to fabrication.
3. Carpet to be anti-static and moth proof.
4. Manufacturer to provide moth treatment to yarn.
5. Contractor to field verify quantities and installation conditions.Manufacturer to field verify all dimensions.
6. Supplier to quote based on the quantity and design currently being modified.
Remark : 09 7. Carpet to be laid smooth over pad and shall be installed, stretched and balanced so that seams are parallel.
8. Installer to contact double stick pad manufacturer for proper adhesive information.
9. Seams to be heat taped as approved by manufacturer.
10. Manufacturer to provide seaming layout for designer approval.
11. Must meet all FHA requirements including flammability test ASTM E-684.Provide heat and stain resistant finish.
12. Manufacturer (vendor) warrants all products from all defects and guarantees to replace any orall parts should they prove deficient within one year from date to owner acceptance.
13. All costs in this regard shall be borne by the manufacturer.
14. All items provided to be contract quality, suitable for commercial use.
