Business plan for Medium level Gymnasium center

What need will our business fulfill?


As a fitness centre, our intended Gymnasium center will fulfill several personal as well as social
needs of an individual. The following are needs of an individual which is expected to be fulfilled
by this gym center.

1) Physical fitness: the center will provide a space for individuals to engage in physical
exercise, including strength training, cardiovascular workouts, flexibility exercises, and
more. And it will help improve overall physical fitness, enhance muscle tone, increase
endurance, and promote weight management.
2) Health and wellness: our Gym will have role in promoting health and wellness by
offering a variety of exercise options to help individuals maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Regular physical activity can reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease,
diabetes, and obesity, as well as improve mental health and overall well-being.
3) Stress relief: Exercise is known to be an effective way to reduce stress and improve
mood. Gymnasium centers provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to
release tension, clear their mind.
4) Social interaction: the Gym can serve as a social hub where individuals come together to
work out, share experiences, and build relationships. Group fitness classes, personal
training sessions, and workout buddies can all contribute to a sense of community and
camaraderie within the gym environment.

What service will our Gymnasium center provide?


Our Gymnasium center as a fitness centre will provide several services to support individuals in
their fitness and wellness journey. Some services that will offered by the center include:

1) Fitness equipment: the center will provide a variety of fitness equipment such as
treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, free weights, weight machines, and favorable
spaces to do variety of aerobic exercise
2) Provision of advices and guidance : the centre will offer guidance and advisory service
provided by professional individual who has a better knowledge about fitness by means
of guidance on exercise technique, offer nutritional advice, etc

3) Fitness assessments: fitness assessments and evaluations will be offered based on Clint
desire with Special additional charges to help individuals understand their current
fitness level, set realistic goals, and track progress over time.
4) Locker rooms and amenities: the center will provide locker rooms and other amenities
such as showers, changing areas, toiletries.
5) Providing favorable space for cardiovascular workouts for those who want to do aerobic
workouts.

To whom will we provide the service?


The potential customers for this Gymnasium center includes;

 young individuals who wants to build their body or keep a good physical appearance.
 Adults and children's who wants to have good cardiovascular fitness and mental
development.
 Womens those who wants to have a good physical appearance and also maintain a good
health.
 Individuals who are suffering with abnormal fat increase (obesity) and wants to lose
their weight.
 Individuals who are suffering with mental stress and discomfort and who wants to relax
and fix their their mood by doing physical exercises.
 Generally it includes all people in the surrounding area those who want either to build
and keep a good physical appearance or to maintain a good mental and emotional
health.

How will we sell our services?


As a Gymnasium center is a service giving center, Our business will have a fixed location and
their no need for the distribution strategy. Our important question will be how to announce our
potential customers about the opening of the Gym and the services that will provided in the
gym and how to attract many costumers as large as possible to gain sufficient revenue that
enables to cover costs and then to achieve satisfactory profit (promotional strategies). And
another question is how to set prices that customers are willing to pay and allow to make profit
for the owner ( pricing strategy).

I. Regarding with promotion strategy, different promotional activities will be used such as
posting posters in public areas, using social medias(Facebook, Telegram, and others),
informing clients personally about services that they are not aware of available.

II. Pricing will be done based on the characteristics of the client. For example; based on the
category of student or employed, child or not, some clients those will receive special
services(like, fitness assessments)will pay additional payment.

How much our business will depend up on and impact the environment?

Level of dependency of the business on the environment

 As our business serves the local community located only in the town and less
dependent on imported goods, it is less affected by economic variables like foreign
exchange rate and balance of payment. Inflation will hav a significant effect on the
success of the business as the price of inputs( equipments, employees building rent) will
affect the profitability of the business.the income level of the local community will be a
major determinant of the success of the business.
 The Effect of technological change will not have a significant effect on the business.
because, the intended business is medium Gymnasium center( this means it will not
apply high level technology). the pace of technological change and competitors level of
technology in our business area is low.
 Socio- cultural factors are the most critical factors that highly determines the success of
the new business. Because those factors influence the attitude and perception of the
community towards the the role of physical exercise. Communities life style,
demographic pattern (age and sex profile), habits and the way that the society spent
their leisure time will directly affect number of customers and the willingness to pay for
the service.
 The computational environment is another major environmental that will put a
significant impact on the achievement of the goal of the business. In the near future
computational climate will not be a great problem. because, there is not a Gymnasium
center currently that meets customer requirements properly in the town. The number
of Gymnasium centers in the town is very few. More over the quality of service they
provide currently by those centres is not satisfactory. Possible new entrants may inter in
to the market in the long run. So the computational environment will not be a a great
impact on the business in the near future.

The impact of the business on the environment

 A Gymnasium center business is a service giving business and it doesn't carryout any
activities that can affect the natural environment negatively as well as positively.
 Economically it will contribute for the growth of national economy by creating
employment opportunities. It can contribute for the development of the country by

creating physically fitted and mentally motivated productive society. As it use some
inputs, the business will acquire this inputs by purchasing from suppliers. By the means
it can create some demand of inputs and stimulates country economy.
 The gym center will have a huge impact in creating stable society. As physical exercise
helps people to be mentally relaxed, motivated,rational and addiction free person, the
center will have a positive impact on social development. It also helps to develop a
social interaction when people meet and spent time together.

Possible barriers of the business


 Start up capital; the cost of materials and equipment for fitness industry is high.
 High cost of acquiring or constructing a building.
 Lack of good perception towards the importance of physical exercise our society.
 Competition: The fitness industry is highly competitive, with many gymnasium centers
vying for the same pool of potential customers.
 Location: If the center is not easily accessible it may struggle to attract enough clients
to sustain business operations.
 Cost: Membership fees, equipment maintenance, and overhead expenses. High
operating costs can make it difficult to keep prices competitive and may deter potential
members from joining.
 Seasonality: Gym attendance can fluctuate seasonally. Seasonal variations in
membership levels puts impact on revenue.
 Lack of differentiation: If other gymnasium center does offer the same services that is
not different from our Gym center, struggling with competitors will become difficult.
 Equipment maintenance and upgrade costs: The cost of maintaining and updating
equipment will be a barrier fo the r profitability of a Gym center.

Ways to overcome this possible barriers


As a solution for this possible barriers, we may apply/use the following ways.

 To fulfill the start-up capital requirements we will have the choice of either borrowing
from financial institutions or sharing ownership with other individuals who has the
ability to provide capital for the venture( using partnership).
 We can change and improve the perception of the society towards the importance of
physical exercise and fitness industry for the individual as well as for building a good
society by communicating those roles through different promotional methods and by
encouraging potential customers to be a member by allowing membership by lower
payment.

 By providing a unique and superior service than our competitors we can attract a new
membership or retain the existing members to deal with competition.pp
 By doing close monitoring and guidance of members while using equipment,we can
reduce possible damages of equipments and to minimize maintenance costs.
 We can overcome the problems of high costs of constructing or acquiring building by
renting hall for some period until we get the required capital to construct our own
building.
 By providing discounts and other incentives in a low demand season, we can promote
members to keep membership regardless of season.
 Providing amenities which can not be possessed easily by competitors, we can make our
fitness centre different from other's and avoid homogeneity of services. By doing this,
we can achieve a large pool of clients and better deal with competition.
