3 Synopsis: This course deals with the analysis of continuous-time and discrete-time signals and systems.
Topics includes representations of linear time-invariant systems, representations of signals,
Laplace transform, transfer function, impulse response, step response, the convolution integral
and its interpretation, Fourier analysis for continuous time signals and systems and an
introduction to sampling.

CLO1 Recognize, sketch and manipulate basic signals commonly used in engineering applications
CLO2 Formulate and solve differential equations describing linear time invariant (LTI) systems,
including both transient and steady-state responses
CLO3 Explain mathematical foundations of frequency- domain and time domain analysis techniques
(Fourier series, Fourier transform, Laplace transform) applicable to continuous-time signals and
systems.
CLO4 Evaluate system property and limitation, fundamental problems in sampling
