One-Step Equations

I hope your students enjoy this activity! They will need to solve 15 equations in
order to create 5 codes. If they email the correct codes to
[email protected], they will receive “painting” instructions to create a
work of art! Students will need blue, green, red, yellow, and orange crayons,
markers, or colored pencils to complete the picture (I wouldn’t recommend actual
paint unless you’re feeling extra brave!).
The auto-replies usually take a few seconds to come through. You may need to
remind students to look in their spam or promotional folders if they do not appear
right away (or double-check their answers). If they send an incorrect code, they
will not get a response.
Students don’t have access to email? Print copies of page 5 and cut out
instructions to give to students after they show you the correct codes.
