The logbook ensures all required information is


recorded in a logical manner. The logbook keeps the information in one place including
supporting documents. The logbook is a way to monitor the needs of children and to identify
how best to care for them.

It's written in a very organized way. Sufficient topics are given. The questions given with every
topic almost cover all the aspects of the topic.

I would suggest some of the following changes
● Color pictures: it will draw students attention. As some topics could be very well
explained in pictures rather than words.
● The questions should be more specific and just need one line answer.
● Make it more motivating.

Ans: I think it's important as students can perform some practical studies .

No, I think providing information is not its purpose. It is used as a journal for different trips.

Yes, it holds marks in final examination

No, I think it contains a decent number of topics.

4) Is it inspiring or motivating for the students?


No, it does not provide any motivation, it gives a general outline of what to look for on a visit

know?
I don't think students refer to logbook for information on any kind of topic.

6) Is It impacting, with potentially a profound effect on the learner?


I don't think a logbook has a profound effect on the learner as it is not an informative book rather
it is an interactive book.
7) Does it contain all the information regarding delivery of the course contents and
assessment methodology?

Ans. No, it does not contain all such information yet a good chunk of information is present,
more could be added and assessment methodology could be improved.

Ans. Yes, I’ve used it in daily life needs like billing records, car maintenance etc, but never used
it for clerkships (educational purposes) before 4th year MBBS.

2) How helpful a logbook is in a student's learning?

Ans. It is helpful to a good extent as it helps to record educational activities and provides a good
review to a student regarding his/her practical work during the course of his/her clerkship.

Ans. It is very seldom that I refer to the logbook. It only happens when I find some time after
covering my topics from the textbook.

Ans. No, I do not bring a log book to the college daily.

Ans. The quality is under par. It could be improved like the title cover of the book, its layout and
page quality etc.

Ans. No , I don’t think there is a need for a log book for other courses.

Ans. No, Log books are not very helpful for studying .I rarely see log books for studying.
