Materials Needed: Video presentation, tv, graphic organizer


Sample creative work: (Kalinga: Ragragsakan)

(Jolo, Sulu: Sua-ku-sua)
(Cebu: Si Pilemon)
(Marinduque: Putungan)

Duration: (5 minutes)
Instructions: Video Presentation
After viewing the video presentation, answer the following questions:

1. What creative works are shown in the video?
2. What elements of the performing and visual arts did you notice while watching the video?

Objective(s):

Materials:
Use an existing chant/song from your province/locality.
Duration: (10 minutes)
Instructions:
- Sing the presented song applying loud and soft voices alternately in every phrase.
- Follow teacher’s hand signal as you sing/chant.
- Imitate various sources of sound as you sing/chant.

Task/Questions: After the activity answer the following questions:
1. How many levels of loud/soft dynamics did you use while chanting?
2. Which sources of sound produce heavy and dark qualities or light and bright qualities?

Tasks/Questions:
1. How would you describe the quality of your voice, the voice of your teacher, and that of
your classmates after singing the song?
2. What instruments do you think were used in the folk song that you have heard? How
would you describe the sound of each instrument?

Activity 3: Show and Tell

province/locality.

Instructions:
- Each group will be assigned material for the show and tell activity.
- Brainstorming session: Each group will be given 5 minutes to organize their ideas before
the actual performance.
- Each group will be given 2 minutes to perform the show and tell.

Activity 4: Video Analysis
