This Award consists of 3 Tasks, all 3 tasks must be completed and submitted
before the deadline of 30th June 2024.
The spreadsheet and PowerPoint files should be submitted with the following
naming convention:

Task 1
The data in Sheet 1 shows the number of days present and absent for each member in 4 th
Petaling Jaya Boys’ Brigade for the year 2023. Write all your answers for Task 1 in Sheet 1
Question 1:
a. Generate 50 random numbers between 1 and 10 and write down the formula used
b. Calculate the frequency of each random number and create a histogram
c. Draw an ogive based on the cumulative frequency of the random numbers and
determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quartile using formulas.

The NCO Council of 4th PJ is planning a Movie Day for senior members as a means of
fellowship. The Officer Council has approved a budget of RM300 for them to use for this
activity. All expenses must be deducted from this budget. The estimated extra expenses such
as parking and food is RM 100 and the price of a ticket is RM 15.
a. How many members can the budget cover? Show your calculations in the
spreadsheet.
b. Draw a graph to show the costs involved if 1 member attends Movies Day up to 13
members (hint: x=1 to x=13)
c. Given that the Senior Section has 20 members, how much would it cost to cover every
member’s expenses? Show your calculations in the spreadsheet.
Task 3:
Create a PowerPoint presentation for 5-10 minutes based on 1 of these 3 topics. Submit your
PowerPoint and present it in front of Senior Section Members. The PowerPoints should have
the correct designs, animations, transitions that fit your Topic. Images or videos regarding the
topic can be included as well.
