Head of Senior School
As we embark on the new term, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the
enriching experiences and opportunities that lie ahead. We extend a warm welcome back to
all our senior school students and their families. This term promises to be filled with
engaging extracurricular events that will not only enhance learning but also provide ample
opportunities for personal growth and development.
We are particularly excited about the array of activities and programs scheduled for this
term, which are designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among our
students. From arts and sports to academic clubs and leadership initiatives, there is
something for everyone to enjoy and participate in. We encourage all students to explore
these opportunities and make the most of the vibrant learning environment at our school.
Today, we distributed the NAPLAN results to our students. We encourage parents to review
these results with their children, as they provide valuable insights into their academic
progress and areas for further development. In a separate communication, I will share the
outstanding achievements of our Year 7 and Year 9 students in the recent NAPLAN testing.
Their performance in numeracy and literacy is a testament to their hard work and
dedication.
We are immensely proud of the growth our students have achieved over time. This success is
a result of the collective efforts of our entire college community, including our dedicated
teachers, supportive parents, and hardworking students. Together, we continue to strive for
excellence in all aspects of education.
We look forward to a productive and enjoyable Term 3. Let's continue to support and inspire
each other as we work towards our goals and aspirations.
Warm regards,
Mouina Ramadan

YEAR 12 CHEMISTRY
University of Sydney
Our Year 12 Chemistry students recently had the opportunity to participate in an
educational excursion focused on Spectroscopy instruments. This excursion was
designed to enhance their understanding of this vital area of Chemistry and provide
hands-on experience with advanced scientific equipment.
Students attended the University of Sydney, a leading research facility where they
were given a deeper insight into the practical applications of spectroscopy in various
fields such as medicine, environmental science, and materials science.
This workshop took place in the Science laboratories where students used
spectroscopic techniques to identify an unknown substance.
This was a valuable field trip and the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

wellbeing, and exam preparation. By tuning into their webinar series, you’ll learn how you can
help support your child at home by reinforcing the skills they’re learning at school.
Their upcoming webinar on motivation will give you a simple, realistic action plan to help keep
your child motivated right up until the day of their last exam.
