Subject: Selection Trials at School Level for Participation in CBSE Games (2024-25)
Dear Principal
As you are aware, CBSE organizes sports events at Cluster/ Zonal and National levels for
students of its affiliated schools every year in various age-groups for girls & boys separately.
Following may be noted in this regard:
1. List of Games: The list of games along with age-groups at Cluster/ Zonal and National
level are given in Annexure - A & B.
2. Participation in CBSE Games: The schools will be required to apply online for
participation in CBSE Games. The portal will open in the month of August 2024.
The sports competitions will be organized in September & October 2024.
3. Selection Trials: It has been observed in the past that some good players were not
given chance by their schools to participate in CBSE Games. Therefore, the schools are
advised to conduct Selection Trials for selection of best players to represent the school
in CBSE Games. For this purpose, following may be noted:
i. Selection Trials should be conducted in all games from 24th - 30th July 2024.
ii. The schools should upload the exact dates of Selection Trial on the CBSE Sports
Portal https://cbseit.in/cbse/2024/sports/
iii. A committee should be constituted for conducting Selection Trials in School.
iv. CBSE may conduct Surprise Inspection in school during Selection Trials to ensure
that talented players should be given chance to play in CBSE Games.
v. The schools should upload list of participants in Selection Trials and photos of
Selection Trails on CBSE sports portal in pdf format.
vi. Th school should not deny any student/ player to participate in Selection Trial.
vii. The school may use the same Username and Password as used for LOC or
registration of students of classes IX/ X/ XI/ XII every year for login in CBSE Sports
Portal https://cbseit.in/cbse/2024/sports/
All the schools are requested to take note of the above and conduct Selection Trails. For any
