Course Description:
Our healthcare system is progressively becoming technology supported; consequently, nurses all over the world are expected to develop their information and
communication technology/ICT skills; because of these integrating ICT in the nursing curriculum is essential.

“Living in the IT Era” Course is intended to educate student nurses and impart knowledge of information and communication technology in the provision of
healthcare necessary to enhance their decision-making, competencies and improve quality care practices. This is designed to equip Student Nurses through
the of ICT combined with nursing informatics, nursing education have a leverage and become exponentially more efficient. Student Nurses will learn about
safety, security, and ethical issues in using computer-related work, social media conduct; this also aims to enhance the work-life balance of nurses while
moving the nursing career towards a data-centered standard and practices, saving time and energy allowing nurses to spend more time on providing direct
patient care.

 The student will be able to Integrate relevant principles of social, physical, natural and health sciences and humanities in Living in the IT era course.
