Subject: Declaration of Result of Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-I), 2023.


The Staff Selection Commission conducted the Combined Graduate Level Examination
(Tier-I), 2023 from 14.07.2023 to 27.07.2023 in the Computer Based Mode.
2. Based on marks scored in Tier-I Examination, candidates have been shortlisted,
category-wise, to appear in Tier-II examination. Separate cut-offs have been fixed for the posts
of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer (List-1), Junior Statistical Officer
(JSO) (List-2), Statistical Investigator Grade-II (SI) (List-3) and all other posts (List-4).
3. As the Tier-I (Computer Based Examination) was conducted in multiple shifts, marks
scored by the candidates have been normalized as per the formula published by the
Commission on its website on 07.02.2019. Such normalized marks have been used to qualify
candidates for the next stage of Examination (i.e. Tier-II).
4. As per Para 16.1 of Notice of the Examination, following minimum qualifying marks
have been considered in Tier 1: -
a. UR: 30%
b. OBC/ EWS: 25%
c. All other categories: 20%

5. The cut-off marks and the number of candidates getting qualified for Tier-II
Examination are as follows:

7. The Tier-II of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2023 is tentatively scheduled


from 25.10.2023 to 27.10.2023.

8. Representations received from the candidates with regard to the Answer Keys of Tier-
I Examination have been carefully examined and the Answer Keys have been modified
wherever necessary. The final Answer Keys have been used for evaluation. The Final Answer
Keys along with the Question Paper(s) and marks of the qualified/non-qualified candidates will
be hosted on the website of the Commission shortly.

REVISED RESULT

Subject: Declaration of Revised Final Result of Combined Graduate Level


Examination (CGLE), 2023.

The final result of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2023 was declared on
04.12.2023 recommending a total of 7859 candidates. After the declaration of the result,
some representations were received by the Commission regarding discrepancies in final
result which necessitated re-examination of the final result. The Commission
immediately undertook a comprehensive review of the final result and found that the
DEST mistakes of 261 candidates, whose computer terminal were changed during the
Skill Test due to technical issues, were not considered and hence, these 261 candidates
were treated absent in the Skill Test. Based on the said review, the discrepancy has been
rectified and the following changes have been effected in the result initially declared on
04.12.2023: -

(i) 23 (Twenty-Three) candidates, who were earlier ‘Not selected’, have now
qualified.
(ii) 23 (Twenty-Three) candidates, who were earlier declared as ‘Selected’, have now
become not-qualified in the revised result.
(iii) There has also been a change in earlier Post/ Category allocation of 49 (Forty-
Nine) candidates.

2. Accordingly, to incorporate the changes indicated above, the result declared by the
Commission earlier on 04.12.2023 stands withdrawn and cancelled. The revised result
incorporating the limited changes indicated at Para 1 above is given below.

3. Result of Tier-I of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2023 was declared on


19.09.2023. Thereafter, Tier-II of the Examination was conducted in the Computer Based
Mode from 26.10.2023 to 27.10.2023.

4. As per Para 16.6 of the Notice of the Examination, based on the aggregate
performance in Section-I and Section-II of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination, candidates
have been shortlisted for evaluation of Section-III i.e. Computer Knowledge Test (CKT)
Module and Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) for all posts except Statistical Investigator
(SI) Grade-II. The candidates, who did not qualify in Section-I + Section-II, were not
eligible for evaluation of Section-III. The cut- off details and candidates available for all
posts except SI Gr. II for further selection process are as follows: -

5. In accordance with the Notice No. HQ-PPI03/10/2023-PP_1 dated 17.11.2023 and


20.11.2023 of the Commission, Option-cum-preference has been taken online from the
candidates, who had appeared in Tier-II of the Examination. Accordingly, 52092
candidates who have submitted their preference online have been considered for further
selection process.

6. As per the Notice of Examination, qualifying in Tier-II, Paper-I, Section-III,


Module-I i.e. Computer Knowledge Test (CKT) and Module-II i.e. Data Entry Speed
Test (DEST) is essential for qualifying in the final result. Module-I and Module-II are of
qualifying nature.

7. As per Paras 16.1 and 16.2 of the Notice of the Examination, following are the
minimum qualifying marks and maximum percentage of errors: -

a) Minimum qualifying marks in Section-I, Section-II & Module-I of Section-III of


Paper-I and Paper-II & Paper-III of Tier-II Examination are as follows
(i) UR: 30%
(ii) OBC/ EWS: 25%
(iii) All other categories: 20%

b) Maximum percentage of errors allowed in Module-II (DEST) of Section-III of


Paper-I of Tier-II Examination are as follows
(i) UR: 20%
(ii) OBC/ EWS: 25%
(iii) All other categories: 30%.

8. Following Cut-off marks have been fixed in CKT and DEST for the posts where
Computer Proficiency or DEST are prescribed: -

the basis of overall performance of candidates in Tier-II Examination only, as follows: -

10. As per the provisions of the Notice of Examination, allocation of posts to eligible
candidates has been made on the basis of merit-cum-preference of posts submitted by the
candidates online. Subject to their qualifying in the document verification to be
conducted by the respective User Departments, a total of 7859 candidates have been

12. Resolution of Tie Cases: In the event of tie in scores of candidates in Tier-II
Examination, tie has been resolved by applying following criteria, one after another in the
given order, till the tie is resolved:
a) Marks scored in Paper-II of Tier-II Examination for the posts of Junior Statistical
Officer (JSO) / Statistical Investigator Grade-II respectively, if applicable.
b) Marks scored in Section-I of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination.
c) Date of birth, with older candidate placed higher.
d) Alphabetical order in which the names of the candidates appear.

13. Two debarred candidates bearing Roll Number 2201083705 and 4205001534
appeared in the Tier-II Examination, hence, their results have not been processed.

14. The final results of following 10 candidates have been kept withheld due to
various reasons: -

15. Post declaration of the final result of the Examination, further process of Document
Verification and appointment formalities will be undertaken by the Allocated Department
to the shortlisted candidates. If a candidate does not receive any correspondence from the
concerned allocated User Department within a period of six months from declaration of
the final result, he/she must communicate immediately thereafter with the concerned
User Department. Further, the Commission will not, in any circumstances, entertain any
correspondences regarding Document Verification/appointment formalities from the
shortlisted candidates.

16. No Reserve List/ Waiting List is prepared by the Commission. Unfilled vacancies
in the final result and vacancies arising out of non-joining of shortlisted candidates will
be carried forward to the subsequent year(s) by the concerned Departments /
Organisations.

17. Representations received from the candidates with regard to the Answer Keys of
Tier-II Examination have been carefully examined and the Answer Keys have been
modified wherever necessary. Final answer keys have been used for evaluation.

18. Final Answer Keys and detailed marks of the shortlisted/non-shortlisted candidates
will be uploaded on the website of the Commission shortly.
