Goals
The campus shall provide Advanced and Innovative Curriculum Programs in Fisheries, Aquatic and Allied Sciences. It shall also undertake Responsive Research and Extension Services to
nurture the potentials of students for sustainable management of resources.
Objectives
1. Apply the scientific process in general problem solving
2. Have skills that can contribute to the management of tropical marine resources.
3. Pursue further careers in related fields (e.g. research, teaching, resource management, etc.)
4. Have knowledge to promote sustainable utilization of marine resources.
Course Description:
Program Outcomes:
a. Articulate the latest developments in their specific field of practice.
b. Effectively communicate orally and in writing using both English and Filipino languages.
c. Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
d. Demonstrate professional, social, and ethical responsibility, especially in practicing intellectual property rights and sustainable development.
e. Preserve and promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage.”
f. Demonstrate broad and coherent and understanding in the core areas of physical and natural sciences.
g. Apply critical and problem-solving skills using scientific method.
h. Interpret relevant scientific data and make judgement that include reflection on relevant scientific and ethical issues.
i. Carry-out basic mathematical and statistical computations and use appropriate technologies in (1) the data analysis; and (2) in pattern recognition, generalization, abstraction, critical
analysis, and problem-solving.
j. Communicate information, ideas, problems, and solutions, both orally and in writing to other scientist, decision-makers, and the public.

Course Requirements:
1. Attendance – Students should abide code of conduct in attending the class as transcribe on student handbook.
2. Participation – Students are expected to be actively participating during class discussion
3. Problem Sets – Solutions on problem sets should be submitted as class output.
4. Written examinations – This includes quizzes, mid-term, and final exam. Mid-term exam will cover Topic 1 - 4 and Final exam will cover Topic 5 - 8.
