Homework Letter
Homework Letter
Parent,
Homework
is
a
valuable
aid
in
helping
a
student
make
the
most
of
his/her
learning
in
school.
I
assign
homework
because
it
is
useful
in
reinforcing
what
has
been
learned
in
class,
prepares
for
upcoming
lessons,
teaches
responsibility
and
helps
students
develop
positive
study
habits.
Homework
will
be
assigned
every
Monday,
Tuesday,
Thursday
and
Friday.
The
student
will
write
each
assignment
in
their
homework
notebook.
Assignments
should
take
no
longer
than
thirty
minutes
to
complete
each
night
beyond
reading
and
studying
for
the
facts.
This
also
does
not
include
studying
for
tests
and
working
on
special
projects.
The following are the homework rules for all fourth graders:
6. Ask for help if you need it, but do the work yourself.
Parents
are
the
key
to
making
homework
a
positive
experience
for
their
children.
Therefore,
I
ask
that
parents
make
homework
a
top
priority
and
please
contact
me
if
they
notice
a
problem.
Homework
that
is
not
returned
to
school
will
be
completed
at
recess.
If
students
are
missing
assignments
twice
consecutively,
I
will
ask
that
parents
begin
checking
and
signing
completed
homework.
If
students
still
choose
not
to
complete
their
homework,
they
choose
to
receive
a
grade
reduction
on
the
assignment.
If
there
is
a
legitimate
reason
why
a
student
is
not
able
to
finish
homework,
please
send
me
a
quick
note
on
the
day
the
homework
is
due
stating
the
reason
it
was
not
completed.
Thank you for your cooperation. Please give me a call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
