VII. Course Description :

A school-based course which allows pre-service teachers to participate and assists in limited
actual teaching-learning activities that relate to classroom management, preparation of the learning
environment and instructional materials, delivery of instruction, and assessment. A portfolio which will
contain sample lesson or learning plans and demonstration teaching of at least one subject content will
be required. An Action Research shall be encouraged to start in this course and conclude during the
internship.

VIII. Course Delivery Mode

1. The course will adopt a flexible teaching-learning modality. Learning materials and Activity Sheets will be
sent through available on-line platform. A face to face interaction may be conducted when required and
the situation allows.

2. During f2f interaction students should observe required health and safety protocols specifically wearing
of face mask, face shields and observing social distancing.

3. Discussion of topics and activities is in the learning material. Some required activities for the midterm shall
be submitted on or before the midterm examination; likewise, some required activities for the finals will be
submitted on or before the finals. However, group activities leading to the completion of the research
proposal shall be submitted on agreed deadlines.

4. Group chat and FB group will be created as communication platforms. Instructions, follow-ups,
clarifications, further discussions will be done in these accounts. There will be separate guidelines in the
use of the GC and FB group account.

5. Students will be assigned to a cooperating teacher in the Coed Laboratory Schools. Whenever activities
requiring observations are assigned, inputs will be taken from the classes of the cooperating teacher. The
practice teachers will coordinate to the assigned cooperating teacher in accomplishing the activity. In an
instance that activities may also be required other than in the Coed Laboratory Schools classes,
necessary coordination with DepEd Schools should be done first.

IX. Course Requirements
