From Text

In survey drawing file > select text > right click mouse > clipboard > copy (ctrl + c) > open
project file > clipboard > Paste to Original Coordinates > ZE > Modify tab > click Surface
> Move to Surface > Move text to elevation > Select all text > Toolspace > Prospector >

Alignment

1. Create Alignment: Home tab > Create Design > Alignment > Alignment Creation
Tools > Put Name > Type: Centerline > General Tab > Alignment Style: Proposed >
Alignment Label Set > Design Criteria Tab > Put Design Speed > Tick Use Criteria
Based Design > Click … > Select criteria file i.e: ATJ > Set default criteria > Untick
Use Design Check Set > OK
2. Draw Tangent: Alignment Layout Tools > choose Tangent-Tangent No Curves >
Draw Alignment inside the OGL model
3. Add Curve: Alignment Layout Tools > Free Spiral Curve Spiral (Between Two
Entities) > Select first tangent and next tangent > Curve Solution Angle: Less
Than 180 > Put radius and spiral length
Superelevation

Click Alignment > Superelevation > Calculate/Edit Superelevation > Choose roadway
type, lane width/slope, shoulder width/slope > OK

Profile/Longitudinal Section

Surface/Existing Profile

Click Alignment > Click Surface Profile > Select Surface: Existing > Click Add > Draw in
Profile View >
Next > OK > Click at model space
Proposed Profile

Click Profile View > Profile Creation Tools > Name: Proposed

Profile Layout Tools > Draw Tangent > Free Vertical Curve Parabola
Assembly

Home Tab > Create Design > Assembly > Create Assembly >
Corridor

Home Tab > Create Design > Corridor > Corridor >
Modify Corridor

After modify the alignment or profile or assembly, rebuild the corridor


Corridor Surface

Click Corridor > RC Corridor > Surface Tab > Click Create Corridor Surface > Overhang
Correction: Bottom Links > Add data > Data type: Links > Specify code: Datum > Click +
> Click OK

Section View Tab: To edit/add data set, add ROW & CL marker etc
Display ROW inside Cross Section

Draw R.O.W left and right by using Alignment > Create surface profile for both ROW >
Then can display inside cross section
View Frames

Output Tab > Create View Frames

INTERSECTIONS

• Split Corridor Region


RC Corridor > Corridor Properties > Parameters Tab > RC Region > Split Region >
Adjust value at Start Station and End Station

Notes: BL – Baseline (Alignment & Profile), RG – Region (Assembly/Typical)

• Draw another alignment (centerline) & profile


Notes: Draw alignment and profile for secondary road, make sure the starting
profile have same level as the main road, can refer to the profile view of the main
road.

• Offset Alignment
Click Alignment > Click Offset Alignment
• Widening (ACDC)
Click the Offset Alignment > Click Add Widening

To modify the widening and transition, click offset alignment, click Offset
Parameters
• Curb Return Alignment
Home Tab > Create Design > Alignment > Create Connected Alignment > Select
External Road Offset Left > Select Junction Offset Left > Click curb return
location > ENTER
• Corridor Targeting
Click Corridor > RC > Corridor Properties > Parameters Tab > Go to region > Go to

Grading

Home Tab > Grading > Grading Creation Tools > Set the Grading Group > Set the target
surface > Grade to surface > Create Grading > Set slope for cut & fill > Click to the
feature lines
Create Proposed Platform Surface

Toolspace > prospector tab > RC Surfaces > Create Surface > Put Name i.e: Building
Platform > RC Breaklines > Add > Click feature line and grading > ENTER
Add proposed surface section to the earthwork section
Click Alignment > Surface Profile > Click proposed surface > Add > OK

Edit Feature Line (Platform) Elevation

Click Feature Line > Elevation Editor > press SHIFT > Click from top to bottom > Click
one vertex > change elevation value > ENTER
Cut & Fill Calculation

Analyze tab > Volume Dashboard > Click Create new volume surface

Display Cut & Fill Area

Prospector Tab > Surface > RC Cut & Fill Surface > Surface Properties > Analysis Tab >
Analysis Type: Elevations > Number of ranges: 2 > Run Analysis > Set ID 1 maximum
elevation 0, color scheme: Red > Set ID 2 minimum elevation 0, color scheme: Green>
Apply > Information Tab > Surface Style: Elevation Banding (2D) > OK
Berm Slope for Platform

Assembly > Create Assembly > Choose Daylight Bench > Corridor > Create
Corridor > Put name > Choose Feature Line, Assembly and Target Surface > Click
OK > Apply > Rebuild > OK > RC Corridor > Corridor Properties > Surfaces Tab >
Create Corridor Surface > Set parameters as below > OK
