Sizes of the big bear: height about 37 cm, belly about 35 cm, head
circumference about 43-44cm.
The sizes of the small bear: height about 24-25 cm, belly about 31 cm,
head circumference about 36-38 cm.
I would like to notice you that All my clothes patterns are for the big
bear (except the pattern “Sailor’s Boys”. It includes a description for the both
sizes).

Materials Yarn
You can use two different texture of the yarn: Plied or Blown / Fiber-filled net.
The yarn brands are
stated for the big I love to use fiber-filled net (blown) texture yarn, with following parameters:
bear (height is about Blend: alpaca blend is the best
37 cm, a belly is Weight: DK/Aran (MORE important – length/weight)
about 35 cm, head is Length/Yardage/weight: (min200/max250 meters/ min218yards/max.273yards in 100g/3,5oz.)

Tips
Stuffing soft toy

The way you stuff will be crucial in determining the finished product shape. For the bear, I use a polyester stuffing
and I recommend putting in small amounts of stuffing and building up a shape. Try to fill up right to the end, in
all corners.
!! Stuff the body very well, it should be approximately one size with a
head!!!

Sewing arms and legs

If you want to decorate the arms and the legs with the buttons, it’s
better to sew the buttons first
Arms Count 2-3 rows down from the neck. Sew each arm on the body
separately. Don’t tight too hard. Palm can be in position “down”
as on pic. or “up”
Legs In the same way, we sew the legs on the body, count about 15
rows up from the bottom. Sew on each leg separately.

Facial design
Before sewing the ears and embroidering (eyes/nose, mouth), we need to
markup and put the pins in the right places. The face will be on the side
where we have made Increases for nose (28th round of the head)
Ears
Draw an invisible vertical line of the middle of the face from the
top of the nose. On this line, count 9 rounds from the top to
down. On this 9th round , count 17 stitches to the left and right-
here sew ears on the head
Nose + Mouth + Eyes Embroidery
Scheme of the face is shown on pic. below (on the scheme 1 9 rds
square= 1stitch)
Nose = 3 stitches wide
Between eyes = 9 stitches 17 rds 17 rds
Eyes = 1,5 stitches wide
Mouth = 2 stitches height

Eyes To make the face more voluminous, take a thread about 25 cm and guide it through the
whole head with a long needle - from the back of the head and through the bottom edge
of the eye (you have to do it with both eyes). Tie the threads, fasten off on the back side,
hidden into the body
