The Philippines is famous for its beautiful birds. The pheasant is one of these rare birds. It lives in
the forest ground. The male is more attractive than the female pheasant. Its shiny feathers have different
colors of white, blue, velvet, black and gray. The female pheasant is smaller with less colorful plumage.
The Philippine Eagles are powerful hunters with red or white plumage. They
weigh about six pounds. They feed on mice, birds and fish. They live in tall trees and rocky
cliffs. Do you know that the biggest eagle in the world is found in the
Philippines?
The smallest falcon in the world is also found in our country. It is only six and a half centimeters
