BCom 3-year programme

● University of Pretoria
● Study at UP
● BCom 3-year programme

This three-year Bachelor of Commerce programme is aimed at training students in the Economic and
Management Sciences, and provides them with a broad understanding of the various functions in the
areas of economic, financial and management sciences. It enables students to compile their own
curricula with a view to work opportunities available in various sectors.

This programme is suitable for students with broad academic interests that are not met by the fixed
curricula of other Bachelor of Commerce degrees. Students are offered the opportunity to determine
their own career outcomes, within limits, as it enables an in-depth exploration of various elective
modules during undergraduate studies

This programme caters to the needs of students who:

● Are interested in obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce degree

● Are competent and interested in diverse study areas
● Are undecided about which major to select
● Require flexibility in selecting modules
● Do not want to specialise too early in their studies

Depending on curriculum composition, students can choose to specialise in a specific field by pursuing
postgraduate studies in:

● Economic sciences
● Financial sciences
● Management sciences

For more information, please consult the Faculty webpage.
