When we calculate the mean, we are finding the average of set of numbers.
Example: Three brothers named Josh, Cameron, and Morgan went on an easter egg hunt. Josh
found 6 eggs, Cameron found 4, and Morgan found 5. At the end of the hunt, their mother told
them to split the eggs equally. So, they decided to put all the eggs in the middle and then divide
them equally amongst themselves. They had 6 + 4 + 5 = 15 eggs and 15 ÷ 3 kids = 5 eggs each.
