WHY PHYSICAL DESIGN IS EASIER THAN HCI
DESIGN?

Physical design often deals with tangible

objects and environments, which can be easier
to conceptualize and manipulate compared to
the complexities of human-computer
interaction (HCI) design.

In addition physical design, factors like size,

shape, and materials are more straightforward
to work with, whereas HCI design involves
understanding human behavior, cognition, and
emotions, which can be more abstract and
challenging to predict and accommodate.
Additionally, the rapid evolution of technology
and user preferences in HCI design adds
another layer of complexity.

REASONS:
Clear Constraints:

Physical design typically has clear constraints such as materials,

dimensions, and manufacturing processes, providing a more
structured framework for decision-making.
Predictability:

However, it's essential to note that both physical and HCI design
have their own challenges and complexities, and the perceived
ease may vary depending on the specific context and
requirements of the design project.
