Game’s Name : Brain race

Activity Guidelines

Rules of Engagement

There are some rules must obey by students when they play this activity to make it run well.

RULES
Students play in good condition
Students must use their own abilities so they are not allowed to use any assistive devices.
Students are not allowed to use any assistive devices.
Students use their bodies and senses to demonstrate the word
Students are not allowed to use props
Students focus in their own team
Students disallowed to interfere others’ group
Students continues the game when they is sure about their answer
Repetition during word demonstrations is not allowed, only done at one time, not once
Students must pay attention with the time
Students can skip the word if they do not know how to describe it and the next members
will replace it
Students will get point if they get right words.
Students will lost their point if they can not spell and pronounce it correctly
1. Activities/games
Brain race is the kind of game that similar with relay race. This game has steps to do by
the players. Brain race is consist of 3 steps game, there are guessing and spelling . The
game’s instruction as follow:
 Students divided into 5 groups that consist of 6 members.
 Brain race have 3 round and each round have 5 minutes to play.
 Students will choose their roles because they are 4 members will play guessing
game and 2 members will play spelling game.
 Guessing game will be played alternately and spelling game will not. In spelling
game, there are 2 members and they have different roles. The first member will
arrange the letters and second member will write the word in a piece of paper.
 Each group will compete to guess and spell as many words as possible.
 Students will get point if they get right words.

Well, Brain race start when the teacher said number three.

 First, student take a card and describe a word.


 Students will guess the words.
 Student will arrange a word based on the answer of guessing before.
 Student will write the word.
 After getting the word, they can start the game again and continue like that
until time runs out.

2. Goals
 Students will be able to guess the hobbies
 Students will be able to spell and write the words that belongs to hobbies.

There are some activities that belong to hobbies, as follows :

 This game can be modified with add some music in it .
